my point exactly... vote!!!Ive seen plants that I would call rootbound, maybe I dont understand the technical meaning, but I know bound up roots slows if not stops growth eventually and can cause all kinds of other problems. Not sure I guess....
thank you sir, again my thoughts exactly...All the time I tell folks to hang out at regular garden sites to learn more about basic botany
here is just one link to one talking about the symptoms of ROOTBOUND plants
http://www.evergreengardenworks.com/rootball.htm
I myself just had a battle with a rootbound plant big mistake using a coir pot that did nor work properly (roots could not get thru it and it got rootbound)
A plant getting rootbound is not a myth or an urban legend, it CAN and DOES happen
jeez, nobody is going to vote in any more of your polls if they're going to be derided for it. btw I voted for rootbound being realI think if you vote no u should go join a knitting forum that might be more up ur ally
dude, a bonsai is a completely different plant. It grows VERY slow. MJ grows, VERY fast..Like comparing apples and oranges.. thanks for contributing though..but ur wronggood article, but it is mainly referencing container gardening for bonsai, and can take a period of years to become truly rootbound, not sure if it's completely applicable to MJ, who's lifetime is measured in months rather than decades. It did make a good point though about the relationship between chlorosis and lack of new root growth. Something to think about for sure.
hydro is not the question here.. hydro the roots have PLENTY of room in the water...Thanks for voting!!!...I voted, not trying to pursuade anyone elses vote, but....I've been taught that hydro ( with a res. ) doesn't need as much root space to supply itself with fertz being that your in complete control of your ppm. Soil, I'd say you need big pots, the bigger the better.... I have no science behind it, just sounds logical...bigger pots make more roots , which in turn make bigger plants with bigger buds.
lol am i tainting the votes.. it just doesnt make sense though that plants cant be rootbound...jeez, nobody is going to vote in any more of your polls if they're going to be derided for it. btw I voted for rootbound being real
booo ur vote doesnt count.. Just vote what you think...Voted no because the question wasn't fairly worded
