The Medicare/ Medicaid 'benefit' is something that American Citizens earn thru years of payroll deductions. Albeit small deductions, they are removed from your earnings without any say on your part. Now If I choose to utilize' medicare/medicade when I get older for instance, that is MY choice entirely. I do not have to. I can also be buried at the expense of the U.S. Government (via your tax dollars) as my veterans’ benefits cover it. Will I allow the government to bury me? F$%^ no. Because through careful financial planning and with the assistance of my family that will be a matter I take care of... not the U.S tax payers. Now this (illegal)healthcare bill states that I MUST buy healthcare insurance, whether I need it OR can even afford it or not. Talk about the great train robbery.
The weak argument has also been made about car insurance...you HAVE to have it. Actually in a few states you do not still. Nor do you HAVE to drive a car. The privilege of driving a car in the U.S. is a PRIVILEDGE (not a right) that is granted to qualified operators via license in the state you reside. So technically you DO NOT have to have car insurance, unless you want to use the privilege of driving a car. I actually know people who don't own a car..they take public transportation or walk. What is different about car insurance vs. forced health insurance? LIABILITY. That is the minimum type of coverage you HAVE to have. That is because we have drunks, crackheads and other losers who just can’t grasp the idea of safe driving. So we ALL pay.
So WHY on earth should it be MANDATORY for you to have health insurance? For starters, people who cannot afford it now WILL NOT be able to afford it later. This is the biggest outright lie I have heard to date. And if you cannot afford it...you get FINED? Is that not double-jeopardy? Costs ARE NOT going down, PERIOD. Remember all those people who can now get coverage for pre-existing conditions? Where do you think the extra money needed to cover all those people will from? Insurance companies WILL raise rates(even though the bill says they cannot), and you the public will pay for it. Don't think so? Anyone who has ever lived in an area that was hit by bad hail storms knows exactly what I'm talking about. After enough severe storms, many insurance carriers stopped offering hail coverage due to the overwhelming losses. Now back to liability and health insurance. If health insurance is made mandatory, that means ALL of those FAT-ASS OVERWEIGHT ALCOHOLIC people are now a huge liability to the system that everyone is paying into...whether you can afford it or not. And you are going to pay for it. The same as the people who drink and drive, don't use seatbelts or text while driving that raise your car insurance rates. Feeling priveldged yet? The United States of America has just jumped the Shark. Officially.
