Pinching leave tips

So I keep seeing on every site, and coming across something like this:

" Another still-experimental process to increase the resin it to pinch off the leaf tips as soon as they appear from the time the plant is in the seedling stage on through its entire life-span.

This produces a distorted, wrecked looking plant which would be very difficulty to recognize as marijuana. Of course, there is less substance to this plant, but such wrecked creatures have been known to produce so much resin that it crystallizes a strong hash all over the surface of the plant - might be wise to try it on a plant or two and see what happens."

Has anybody experimented with this? I'm growing outdoors so I may try this on a few plants just so they don't look like a marijuana plant so much. But does this really work? And any find the resin thing to be true? I feel like this may work but is probably hard to keep the plant healthy and growing quick enough

Some people have done it and it does work. I am not sure about the resin thing though. Somehow I doubt that, but I have never done it so I could be wrong. :joint:

I did it... but unfortuantly it was from seed, and it turned out to be a male, I want to try it outdoors this year with a known female clone.
To me... it still looked just like marijuana... just with the leave tips cut off... and cutting the leaves was tiring :P
I think anyone how can easily identify a pot plant would have no problem knowing what it is... maybe I'll try it on an indor plant... hmmm

"Traditional way to top a plant the entire growing shoot just below the bud is removed. when the entire growing shoot is removed the two buds located directly below the cut grow faster and stronger. the fim pruning technique where the bottom 10% of the bud remains intact. may produce many differnt flowering tops as a result of this single pruning, according to FIM aficionados the terminal buds put on much more wieght and are far denser" i took that from a high times mag i used for some other research i did
ive heard it works from a friend and sort of coach in my sort of new technique
im just wondering if its just the top ones you pinch or if you could do multiple spots

he is talking about cutting the leaves in half every single leafe of the plant from its first true leaf... this is supos to increase resin production and be a way to make it not look like pot. FIM and topping are another story :P

Not sure how productive that would be. Never tried it.
I top my plants after the 5th node and will do the same with my indoor with the branches
once the plant matures I stress the branches to make them stonger and put them where I want them to grow. Its worked for me in the past.:peace:

Good luck with your grow.
