Is this a good idea?

so i have two shiva skunk clones from a dispensary in Berkeley.
and i plan on using the scrOG method.
lol it might be stupid
im still learning!

i want to top only one plant and leave the other plant normal.. so if anyone thinks this is bad idea please let me know! THANKS!!

you could do that for an expirament if you wanted.. however if you only have 2 plants, than y not go ahead and top both of them as you will get 2 to 4 main colas instead of just one.

be shure when topping to do just under node and not above or in middle of one.

Hey there,

I could be wrong.. fairly newb myself, but from what I understand, topping and scrog are different techniques to achieve similar ends. IE. i dont see why bother topping if you are going to scrog anyway.

In topping, the point is to get 2, 4, or even 8 main cola's. While (as i understand it) the plant is more or less left to grow normally.

in Scrog, the point is to not have a main cola at all, but for all your buds to get equal share of the light, and therefore have all similar sized buds and greater total yeild.

If I'm incorrect, please let me know. Just my 2 cents.

if you are going to scrog then topping both plants would be the best route. by toping you will create more shoots to fill the screen. trying to scrog without topping is kinda counter productive in my opinion.
