Question for Haze growers or smokers

Im growing Haze x Hashplant and just harvested my first one. I took a sample and was bummed by the taste. It tastes like ass. The buzz is great but the smell and taste are nasty.

Is this normal w/ Haze?

The yellowish tones in the pic are from the HPS light, she was green and healthy.

After a couple days of cure the taste is better, a spicey taste is starting to come out now. I think with a full cure the buds will be tasty.

I noticed your plant have long thin leaves. Are those Sativas?

Im pretty sure its a Hybrid, but my 1 plant was very much Sativa dominant.

That is her at 6.5 weeks, i had to harvest at 8 weeks due to my place being flooded.

It was close at 8 weeks but im thinking another 1.5-2 weeks would have made a big difference.

Is this normal w/ Haze?

nope, Haze is considered one of the finest tasting starins. Perhaps if the cross was reversed or you grew it longer. Haze hybrids take about 14+ weeks.
