Hey Sub I was rereading your High Times article where on the super soil and I noticed that in the list of ingredients you use you included 3 lbs of rock phosphate. I felt real foolish because I've gone threw this thread pleanty of times and I thought I had everything. But when I went back threw this thread I haven't seen anything about the rock phosphate. Is it something you're still using or is it not necessary?

I try things off and on with my recipe I saw no big huge difference with the rock phosphate

My question is kind of a three-part question, so please bare with me; before I start a new grow, I'd like to get all my ducks in a row beforehand. I used the right amount of SS last time, as the plant faded at the right time IMO. But, now that I'm moving up to a 400W Hortilux, will this affect when the plant fades? This is assuming that I grow the plants to around the same size. I ask this because, surely, since I will probably have more and BIGGER buds on a same size plant under 400W, the nutrient uptake will be greater and, hence, cause an earlier fade. . . right? or no?

Maybe slightly but I would not change the ratios I used.

Also, I know you've mentioned in the past about light pollution. I must admit that I don't know what this is, so can you share some insights?

Your room at night needs to be at least as dark as the britest moon lit night.

Another thing I'd like some info on is the Krebs cycle. I'd never heard of this until you mentioned in one of your posts about your sucanat applications on days 30 and 45 being key, referencing Krebs. Although I've never heard of the Krebs, I have used unsulphured molasses in the flowering stage to add some carbs and sugars and feed those helpful microbes, but I can't seem to find any more info about the Krebs cycle and cannabis. Your thoughts on this would be useful. And thanks again Subcool, and everyone else here on Roll It Up -- I look forward to exchanging many ideas with you guys!

This guy can explain Krebs Much better than myself.

I will say that sugars without the citric acid is not nearly as beneficial

Thank you sir for the answers, I appreciate that!!! That grow I harvested last night was a leafy bugger, but the Super Soil was no joke, and I didn't even train her well, so I thank you for that. Can't wait for my second grow with this method, as I learned a lot during the 1st. I also can't wait to get ahold of some of those Querkle seeds. I know she's a slow grow, but patience is a virtue -- it seems that way with Cannabis growing, anyway. Thanks again man.

what up sub?

I was wondering how long or how tall you veg your Jillybean's before flowering. Im in a room that is basically a replica of yours, there will be four plants per 1000watter. What do you pull for yield off of each Jilly?

what do u think is the best ratio of supersoil for these in 12 gal buckets?

and how many ppm of co2 do you like to run? Do you ramp up in beginning or ramp down towards the finish?

thanks bro! Gonna have some pics of my 6ft Jillybean up here soon :-P The questions relate to my clones from them.

Height is less important than stem size IMO. I want at least a index sized stem but better even is a thumb sized stem at soil base.

12 is a bit big IM0 almost 2x as much area as we run but they will not hate it and id run 50/50 in a container that large

Constant 1200 pmm till week 6 when we shut down and run leave the doors open.

thanks bro! Gonna have some pics of my 6ft Jillybean up

bring it killa

Yo Sub,
I got another quick question to ask if you don' mind. Have you had any experience with smart pots, or any other bag-type bags? I used a 7-gallon smart pot for my last SS, but I don't think this was a factor in the grow, just thought I'd pick your brain apart and get your thoughts.

Also, I checked out your youtube video with that great big Vortex gal on there. VERY nice. Those lower buds do have amazing mass. Do you like to keep your plants well-spaced in flowering, or do you like to get them in close? The reason I ask is, I flower in a 3' X 3' area with up to seven seven feet of light lens height for right now under 400W. How many plants would you put in that foot print if you knew they would get as big as that plant?

I have one to test but havnt got around to it as I know I will knock em over and make a mess.
I will do a report when I try them

in 3x3 id run just 1 plant and shape it. I run 4 under 1000 in 6x6 L:)

I spent 2 decades perfecting this recipe and it calls for bat Guano.
I would not leave it out for any reason.

Thanks. I ran two my last grow in the same 3 X 3 space under 160W, and I ran into problems because of the low wattage and poor training on my part (I should've known better!). And that was only vegging for a little over a month. Now that I've stepped up to the 400W Hortilux, I figured I'd just grow one and veg her a lot longer, and your reply convinced me, so thanks again for your patience and advice bud.

alright thanks man. im kinda confused on which one to get mexican ,peruvian ,indonesian, or jamaican? fro sunleaves?
As I have said a few times on this thread everyone tends to over think this stuff

You want fruit bat poo or one high in P
I think mine is like 1-8-.05 or something your using it for the P the buds will need near the end.

Hey sub, how many times do you transplant those beasts in veg? And what size containers? They just stay in the 1 gal for the 2 month veg?

Hey sub do you recommend using other fertilizers with the soil mix. or do i need nothing but water for good results? reason i ask is because i bought some fox farm grow big and i am wondering if i will over fertilize if i use it?

freddog are you are you trying to make subcool turn into subUNcool. the reason for the supersoil is so you only need to use water IE.SUPERsoil im in hydro and knew that. i have only been growing for a year and have had to ask very few questions because i READ the forums completly first if i need to get an answer.
now back to your regular scheduled program!

Guys, I know for a fact that the answer to these questions are all throughout not only this thread, but the entire "old-school organics" subcategory. He even references this stuff and SHOWS HOW TO DO IT ON VIDEO for crying out loud, so check out his youtube stuff under the poster "subcool420". Not to be a dick, for real, but I know these things already from the exact thread you're posting on, and I don't want to constantly skim through reruns to get good info -- much less what it's like for him. Capiche?
