Light Leakage in tent

I started my 3 ladies on 12/12 today in my grow tent. Beside the tent is my Veg Cab. So when the lights go off in the Flowering tent, how do I keep light from entering the tent thru the 6" exhaust fan at the top of my tent?

i'd say throw some cloth over it.. or create a make shift cover over the fan. just get that leak taken care of quick man.. that's the bitch about tents. I have a cheap one and the fucker has so many light leaks .. i wouldve been better with plywood and duct tape. but you'll get some decent advice.

I got inside my tent and zipped it up this morning before the lights came on. The only light that I could see was from that fan up top. Plants get hit with moonlight outside. Does it really ahve to be pitch black inside during the dark period?

Nothing more than a full moons light. Still better to not have any at all. Cover it with a cloth as said before.

Try to stop light coming OUT of the veg cab maybe? Or redirect your ducting away from the light?

Mylar sidewalls on the veg box, not practicle to enclose that to stop all light.

no ducting on the exhaust it comes right out the top of the tent. Fan mounted right there.

So what I am gonna try is.. I got some foam board from the garage and I built a three sided reflector so to speak and I put it on three sides of the top of the tent so that the exhaust vents on the far side of the tent top from the veg box. I will see how that does when the lights go off in the tent tonite.

Thanks for the ideas folks.

Google is your friend! Search for the following (without the quatation marks) "grow room+light trap". Grow room is two seperate words and light trap is two seperate words - no space between room and light.

make sure it's pitch black though man ... fuck the moonlight .. you're growing indoors. I'm telling ya. I had a small light leak that would only happen for 2-3 hours in the morning from the sun hitting the hole in my tent. Fucked my shit up.
