Hello riu,

I recently visited http://www.xoxide.com/120mmfans.html and found a nice fan its called cat somethin or other its a white one below the led fans. I am wondering, if I purchased the 12v power supply with 4 pins, and got the 4 to 3 pin adapter, would it safely power the 3 pin fan?

Its just a random idea for a small grow space with a few plants, I need a cool air intake near the bottom of my cabinet and it needs to be quiet. Would it work?

Thanks in advance

If it's a 12 volt fan it will work with a 12v or less adapter.
There are cheaper, easier ways of doing a fan though.

I got a pc case fan just recently. I bought a wall to 12v car power adapter and rigged it up but I found that the 12v was too loud and powerful for my small setup so I found a 7.5v charger and stripped the wires and connecting them, I found that it spins slower and a lot quieter

Its the 120 mm silent cat fan, it moves 62 cfm and operates at 16 decibels, they also have one that moves 145 cfm and operates at 40 decibels... They're very cheap too

Ya those seem really good! only 10 bucks. I got a fan off ebay for 5
I got my 25db at only 28cfm. Im running it with a 7.5v to a 12v fan so I get 10dba and 17.5 cfm. I only use this for my small veg box

Take a look at their site, there's a 88 cfm fan for 4 dollars, the 62 cfm fan I want is 10.99, and the 140 cfm one is like 16.99 I think, good deals
