Club Bubblegum

So I've seen all theese different "clubs" in the forums and thought why not a "Bubblegum club" It's one of my fav strains and the love affair started back in -99 when i smoked it for the first time. The Bubblegum I have grown have all been predominantly Indicas but I hear there are Bubblegum wich are Sativa dominant. Would love to see U guys and gurls Bubblegum ladies on display. So lets make a photo album worthy of this cupwinner and hopefully some sorta info bank for growing this lovely strain

It would also be great if you could include some info on ur grow other than just pics, not a must, but such as:

Light

Medium

Veg. time (also would be interesting to know how tall when introduced to 12/12)

Nutrients

S33d bank

Harvest window (same thing here, how tall when chop chop is interesting to know, how much did it stretch, did it take on Indica or Sativa treats?)

I'll start off w some info on my current grow and pics

Light: Coolwhite fluoros + warmwhite CFL's for veg, Sylvania 400W SHP-TS HPS for flower. Medium: domestic soil, full of macro and micro nutrients pH 6,0 + 20% Perlite. Watered w solution at pH 6,5. Veg time total 5-6 weeks from seeds, 37cm and 41cm tall (about 15,5 inch) when I started 12/12. Nutrients: Whole line of BioBizz organic nutrients for soil. S33d bank: Nirvana feminized. Harvest window: 60-65 days 12/12. 66cm and 76cm tall (26 and 30 inch). I will chop them in few days and hang them whole, when "dry" I'm gonna trim them and start the curing using air tight glass jars. Smokereport: To come!

Drying and curing method
Cut and trim plant then hang upside down to dry until stems snap. Put into glass jars and let cure for 1 month- opening jar daily to 'burp'.

Excellent in every way! Very stoney.

Those are some killer buds. If harvested day 60-65 you'll get a head + body high perfect for people like me w RLS (restless legs) makes ur whole body feel "medicated" yet U are able to do stuff and giggling cuz of that head high. The later the harvest after day 60, the more stoney the high gets. Harvested day 65 or later and U'll get a perfect "sleeping pill".

Veg. time - top at 3rd node; veg until each stem is 22"; train CCOB (low stress); I use to put them right into flower after training but now I'm vegging for another 2 or 3 weeks to let the root system grow with the transplant.

Nutrients - Fox Farm solubles; Liquid Karma; Hygozyme; Dark Energy;;; Kool Bloom soluble; OverDrive; Big Bud;;; Fox Farm liquids in veg

S33d bank - Attitude

Harvest window - I'll give the exact days after my next plant ( I label when I put into flower). Probably 9-11 weeks of 12/12 depending on conditions through veg and flower.

Drying and curing method - hang until small stems snap; clip and bag for a few days; jar. It's a minor tragedy if we have to vape Bubblegum before 4 or 5 weeks total dry/cure - the flavor and potency come out late but strong.

Bubblegum - Serious Seeds

I've got extreme tolerance build up so my review of the potency will be out of kilter with reality. I have a friend who stops in a couple times a year when he goes by my town, he and his evil twin brother got me smoking bud 10 years ago and he smokes regularly and considers himself a pot head.

Last time he was up I had some Dr Greenthumb Big Laughing - which is great but I don't find it as potent as Serious Bubblegum - and we shared a Volcano bag. I usually have a bag every hour or so and hardly notice any effects. My buddy couldn't finish 1/3 a bag and had to stare at the wall for 15 minutes before he was functional enough to focus on the TV.

So, by comparison I can say that Bubblegum has a fairly good hit and it gives me a mild but beautiful floaty high. Good mood elevator. I run out of Bubblegum very fast, that in itself shows that it works medicinally and is a pleasure.

Serious Bubblegum is an excellent strain, to grow and vaporize. Love it. If ordering remember that Serious is the sativa pheno and TH is the indica which would give a more sedative stone than energizing high. Another option would be Bogbubble or one of BOG's amazing crosses like Sour Bubble.

Spectrum of Experience


1. Onset: fast effect or creeper. creeper 1 2 3 4 5 fast

3 to 3.5 - I start to feel it fast, sometimes a lightness in the head while holding the inhale. Most of the effects start within a couple of minutes and build. It takes me 15 minutes to go through a Volcano bag.

2. Up (stimulating) and Down (sedative)

Up.

- Liven the disposition and stimulate the emotions:

Mood elevator. A lightness of being. Great for hiking the beach/woods with an I-inhale or just sitting alone.

Inspiring sociability and talkativeness:

I'm usually very solitary and Bubblegum makes people tolerable to be around and still leaves me sharp enough to make fun of them and deliver some cutting insults.

Sedative and depressant effects:

None that I notice, even on the come down which is mild.


3. Head High / Body Stone
Energizing - yes
Motivating - yes
Couch lock - no

Bubblegum releases you to do the things you want, but doesn't drive you to do them with uncontrollable urges.

4. Emotional State Caused
Anxiety - no
Euphoria - yes, but controllable euphoria.
Calm - yes
paranoia - no

5. Body - medicinal effects
Nausea - mild help
Pain - not known
Seizures - not known
Back - not known

6. Head - medicinal effects
Depression - very good helping depression while leaving functional
Mania - have not had the pleasure of finding out. Yet.
Anxiety - good
Antisocial - makes people tolerable for short periods
Anger - fucken right I get angry but the Bubblegum doesn't help me get angrier!

7. Ceiling: How high (of far) one is capable of going with the variety. How many hits can be consumed until more hits are unnoticeable.

I'm noticing a ceiling but I'll check with my buddy next time he's up. If I can get him to keep hitting the Volcano.

8. Potency: weak 1 2 3 4 5 strong

More potent than Big Laughing, not as potent as Kali Mist. 3.5

9. Duration short 1 2 3 4 5 long

Maybe an hour.

10. Tolerance: ability to provide the same experience via the same amount over time – the burnout factor. "Over time" means the long run: months, years, decades...

Not known.

11. Taste

Bazoka Joe, sports card gum, that pink gum that comes like a Tootsie roll. The lightest hint of icing sugar, pink gum sweetness.

Here is my bubblegum I got from a club in santa Rosa CA. It was a freaking pleasure to grow, never complained grew into a perfect lollipop. None of the nuggets where giant but there were probably at least 12 seven gram nuggets. The nugs where so heavy and resiny that it didnt have a chance to hold itself up.
The one with the xmas balls is sweet tooth probably my favorite of the 6 I grew last time.

Yeah Bubblegum isn't the "strongest" strain THC wise, but it has many other treats. It's a good "medicinal" strain especially for my RLS And ofc the taste, if u really get that "bubblegum" taste and aroma outta it...

Do you mean "at 9 weeks" as in beginning of 9th week or end 9th week? If it was at beginning of 9th week and u got a up high, I'd guess u got a Bubblegum w Indica treats, and if harvested at end 9th week and still w up high u might have gotten a Sativa dominant Bubblegum and maybe shoulda let it go another week and u'd get a more stoney heavy high

It stays low in most cases and is a really sturdy plant wich can take high temperatures too. Make sure you have enough "room" for roots, even though it's a short plant it throws out massive root structure...at least mine has compared to the overall size of the plant...

I completely agree with you on your more in depth explanation. Before I had a scope I just experimented. I pulled one too early at 58 days and it shrunk to no existence. Next I waited to 64 days and it was killer. If I would have went longer I don't think I would have been able to get up after falling down Oh- and bro- I'm a bra! LOL Happy growing!!!

64 days and I cut down one lady, stripped the larges foliage and hung whole to dry, and trim before curing, people say it's a beetch trimming after drying, I do agree but have u "waited" 100+ days from seed to harvest, whats another 10-15 mins a plant gonna do ya when trimming, feel me? When hung whole it slows down the drying process allowing for the chlorophyll to be completely broken down before curing, this takes 7-9 days, the leaves take on a more "greyinsh" color rather than "green" and if starting to cure before all chlorophyll is broken down will give ur bud a lil taste of that breakdown since it's happening in the jar when curing. Chlorophyll evaporates w the moist and when starting to cure before this has happened allows this process to go on inside your jar...

Thx! I chopped plant 2 the day after and they hung to dry for 6 days, then I trimmed them and started curing (7/3-2010) 3/4 "dissapeared" that same day Yield: Plant 1: 3,7oz (105g) trimmed and dried. Plant 2: 4,4oz (126g) trimmed and dried.

Now after 4 days curing it tastes like heaven and I just did a wake n' bake and man am I baked It tastes kinda sweet, like a very mild red berries mix w an earthy almost a hint of chocolate left in ur mouth...sorta. The high is actually just like I want it, my body is parked in the sofa but my brain working 110% LOL! It just tastes sweeter for every day, if thats cuz of the curing or cuz of more and more chlorophyll evaporating or both...iono, so many different myths bout curing so I'm no longer sure it's even necessary...anywho it's KILLER SMOKE!

Here they are both hanging from last week, I fergot to take "budshots" cuz it "dissapeared" so fast...plant 1 on the left and plant 2 on the right.

grew Bubblegum (Serious) during my first grow, and am considering it again (along with Red Diesel and another undecided strain). The high is awesome, kind of a happy-cloudy vibe, but not as giggly as I thought. Wasn't a couch-lock stone but it wasn't a sativa high either.

Unfortunately I can't comment on taste as I used chemical nutes and didn't flush enough. All in all it was still a great smoke.

It was a slow grower in veg (only did 3 weeks from clone) but growth exploded when I switched to 12/12. Not a very needy plant in terms of nutes.

here's a pre-harvest pic. You can tell it had too many nitrates. Oh well, live and learn.

hi - just wondering if nirvana bubbliscious counts as bubble gum?

i've got 4 seedlings going about 2 weeks old. never grown this before. the beans were gifted to me.

i'm growing in modified fox farm ocean forest soil. (i added the usual perlite and guano and worm castings.) i hope i'm organic as can be. i use age old organic kelp and fish + FF big bloom. i don't use the other FF big grow and tiger bloom stuff.

i have a number of lights but right now they are under a 250w MH. i'll switch to my 400w blockbuster reflector soon.

i grow in a XL homebox tent with a 6" inline fan which works just great.

hope bubblicsious is OK for this thread - if not let me know!
