i'm giving a portion of my coming crop to my friends brother who is prescribed to marinol which he dislike because its so strong. we're both hesitant to get a card to go legit but we're unsure of how michigan is going to treat it's legal growers. it feels much more restricted than cali. how many doors are going to get busted down has yet to be seen because it hasn't been legal here long enough. plus something tells me prospective employers would frown upon you when they find you have that card. untill the feds give up there dumbassery i'll be underground

You could do a S.O.G grow, by putting around 16 plants with 30 day veg in you tent with 1000w HPS, you will average around 1-2 oz per plant with Co2 under that 1000watter depending on strain/genetics. I had a buddy with a 1000w HPS in a 4x4 tent and he had 16 light of jah plants in there all the way through flowering. He had a 4x4 18/6 veg tent with a 600w MH, this tent had 16 plants also, but 8 would be 15 days behind the others. That way he started 8 seedlings vegged 2 weeks, then started 8 more seedlings. Then when the first plants hit 30 days old he would move them to flowering, the second set of plants joined the party when they turned 30 days old, and he would start 8 clones to take their place. Since clones take roughly 1-2 weeks to root, by the time the first set of clones are 30 days old he would harvest the first plants that went to flowering and move in the 30 day old clones, and 30 days later harvest again, then 30 days later harvest those clones. If you dont understand I will try to explain it better... This is all based on my friend having roughly a 95-100% success rate with clones. With this method you could roughly get 1-1 1/2 pounds every 30 days.

Why are you using a HPS for veg, MH works best for veg because of the blue, and white spectrum. HPS have a redish orange spectrum which promotes flowering. With a MH you will see more vigorous growth, dark healthy leaves, and thick sturdy stems. If you want your plants to produce 1-2 oz or more with 30 days veg you might want to get a MH. Also a little trick I learned from a older grower freind of mine is to keep feeding veg nutes until week 2 of flower because it promotes more bud sites and leaf growth, then use bloom nutes for the rest of flowering until last week, flush with plain water last 7-10 days depending on nutes. Wouldnt it be great to watch the cops leave in shame and pay for damages lol. I would be laughing at them the whole way out my house. I dont know how long mmj has been in michagan, but those same cops were arresting people for 1 plant not to long ago and throwing them in jail. You think the cops are going to bust in my door and not fix it, they dont know me they wouldnt leave my house until that door was fixed. Picture a bunch of cops in swat gear installing you NEW front door, now that would be a sight.

Michigan came on in 2008 law wasn't active until early 2009, New Jersey made the list this year, I think Illinois, and North Carolina are bolth working on it. there are 14 states total right now, hopefully 16 by this years end.

I live in SC so I hope NC becomes legal, if it does then SC most likely will follow NC since its our neighboring state. If it does become Medically legal in SC, you will probably hear about me on the news as South Carolina resident that took advantage of Medical Marijuana and was busted last night for 10,000 plants over the limit LOL.

ok so heres what im up to.
i recently became a patient and im trying to get around a pound a month. im using soil and three tents.

tent one: 18/6
2x4'
400 watt hps
4 pots with seeds, thirty days and move to tent two. start 4 new seeds.

tent two: 12/12
4x4'
600 watt hps
4 pots each with one month old plant. thirty days

tent three: 12/12
4x4'
1000 watt hps
4 pots, each plant four weeks into flower. thirty days and chop.

so as you can see i would just move the pots between tents and every month i can harvest four plants.
i figure i will have problems with seeds sprouting in time to start the cycle and get thirty days veg. i can however have the seedlings prepared well before the cycle is ready.
also if a strain doesnt finish in 8 weeks of flower, a short delay will be okay because it will just fatten up my girls in the veg room.
oh and obviously im using fem seeds.
does anyone see any problems with this setup? any suggestions would be great!

ps i will start a journal with TONS of pics when my seeds and other two tents get here.

By the time you harvest the clones will be 4-6 weeks old from the time they rooted depending on strain, then put the clones in flower and start more clones vegging and so on and so on. I would use both the 600w and 1000w tent put 8 clones in 1000w tent, and 6 in 600w tent. Use the 400w for the clones to vegg. With the clones getting a veg of 6-8 weeks you will get a 1lb- 1 1/2lb between both tents every two months if they have 8 weeks flower period. i like your idea alot. i am new to cloning but up for the challenge.
would i keep the moms in the 400 tent? im a bit confused on that part. also where do the clones come from the first cycle? from the plants i start from seed right when they go into flower?

This is good because it gives you something to smoke while your waiting for your mothers to grow and if you get clones from the one that shows sex earliest then you now have the earliest sexing genetics out of that batch of girlies from seed...

call me stupid by why not just use two spaces...one for veg...one for grow.

you can veg plants all day and flower all day at the SAME TIME...


the idea of having to use 3 rooms...with 3 different light systems will send your bill through the room. two would be better in my opinion.

well think about it. if i have one flower room then i can only harvest after a full bloom cycle (8 weeks at least).
withtwo rooms i can have one for the first four weeks and then move them to the final tent for the last four weeks. keeping that cycle i will harvest each month.
if i use just one big tent with 8 plants at two different stages, i still need two lights in there so no difference. unless im missing something.

Yeah man glad i could help! Thats the great thing about growing is that it allows you to be "mother nature" by only duplicating the choice plants and basically choosing the path of "natural selection". Read this thread if you haven't already.

read them both and decide what route you want to go. This guy does just about everything right, nothing I can think of wrong but im no expert, and gets about a 1lb every two weeks, cut his op in half and there you go. Have two flowering periods instead of four and its now every month instead of two weeks...

i understand that. but having one veg room and one flower room is all you need.

say you have have veg room... you can move plants into the veg room and out to flower at ANY TIME!

so wat if you have plants that are 8 weeks flowering in the same room with plants only flowering for 4 weeks?

same thing with the veg.

it doesnt matter so long as ALL the veg plants are on the same light schedule and ALL the flowering plants are on the same light schedule....

beyond that all you have to do is keep track of which ones are how far along.

3 rooms/sections is overkill in my opinion...especially because each room will only have a handful of plants.
