400w hps stealth grow

this is my second grow---i have an htg 400w hps system and i am growing in a wood cabinet that is roughly 3 feet wide by 2ft deep and the cabinet is 5 feet tall.

How many plants can i grow in this space? I was thinkining two regular feminized plants and on autoflower for smoke while i'm waiting for the other two to finish.

I was thinking 60-67 days under 19/5 so the auto will finish and the two regs will be ready to switch to 12/12.


Any ideas, let me know....

I myself personally only grow one au naturel 3footer or 3.5 footer indicas in roughly that same amount of space. I'm not sure if I'm wasting space but I do know if I were to add one more then my cabinet will be packed of plant matter so this is why I have only done one at a time.

Yeah I can see making room for a dwarf or 2 in there. I'm making that assumption because some of those dwarfs only grow 6 or so inches. I've never grown them but if I did have a dwarf I would add that to my current grow. Maybe you can add one slightly bigger autoflower in there but it would have to be strategically positioned between branches of your indica as your indica really starts to fill out in the cabinet or not depending on how fast the autoflower matures & is ready for harvest.

6 is best for the square footage, but since it is tall you can do 8. Veg for 1 to 1.5 months and use LST on the main grow tip to keep canopy height even. (dont top)

what about SCROG ing it up or verticle screens? would that be worth it? i'm also wondering about the heat issue from the hps.......
and will topping casue it to be a over crowded?

My little grow room aint much bigger than what you got and I have found 5 to be the ideal number, but I can squeeze 10 in there in a pinch. For instance I got 7 in there now. Two partially harvested and 5 teen agers. Just waiting to see some amber trichs and will be back to 5. Do need to be well vented or its a no go.

i've heard 18/6 and 20/4 so i'll figure i'll split the difference. during my first grow i had set the timer for 18/6 but actually i had set it for 19/5. didn't catch this untill like two weeks before the 12/12 switch. all ended up well. I also figure the extra hour for the autoflower i'll be growing during veg will be beneficial.

I've done anywhere from 4 to 12 in an area that size. My last was in a scrog type environment. I had 8 then, but I've redesigned the cab and gained some room. I just went from constant drip to ebb and flow. Check out the Baby Bloomer. It's pretty close to a perfect fit. I have 10 5x5 pots that fit it perfectly. Peace
