ok guys this is what i got going on i am planning on using the fox farm schedule for hydro on there web site.does anybody use this that could tell me if its good or give me there own schdule.second thing i got it growing in a 5 gallon buck,2 air stones in the bottom and on the lid of the bucket i got 4 netpots.i just planted 4 seeds into my rockwools and put them into the pots.i only put 4 gallons of water in the bucket and used fox farms nut setup for the seedling and cuttlings.alittle thing im confused about on there site they tell you week 1 you add 2tsp to a gal,and 1 tbl to a gal.i already have my nuts in the res so each week it changes i always add that much more into the same water.it does tell you on the site when to do res changes but it seems like the nuts would be all out of whack.it tells you to change the res after the second week.so that 3 times i add nutes to the same water.i dunno somebody explain this! :hump:

same as tree-

i change once a week, make it the same day each week where you have free time to monitor the pH, as new solutions kind of fluxuate at times.

also, im not sure if adding nutes is the best way. if you are topping off your res, you should stick with just pHed water.

Use nutrients. Using just water that is ph balanced is going to give you a far inferior smoke, along with nutrient deficiencies at every turn.

If you're just starting out, I would stick with the FoxFarm nutrient schedule. It can work flawlessly. After you get the hang of it, you can adjust your feedings and flushings based on your own experience and preference.

im just saying, when you top off the res.- which you should do a few times a week-beacuase of evaporation and plant consumption. just add pHed water. adding nutes will mess up the proportions in the solution. your res. should dinfinitley be filled with a nute solution tho.

i use their schedule. from time to time i add some epsom to my solution because my water here is pretty hard (196ppm). the only other change is that i change the res. every week. as ethno says- you will develop your own custom methods once you learn whats best for your plants and environment.

Keep in mind that if you are using distilled or RO water, the ppm value listed on the Fox Farms chart will be much too high, causing nute burn. Reduce the solution concentration by 250-300 ppm when using distilled/RO water. You have to know what your water ppm value before adding the nutes. The FF charts assume you are using tap water. You will be in the ballpark if you use the teaspoon/tablespoon method of adding nutes as shown on the FF chart, regardless of water purity.

:joint:i got 2 little buddys in soil which 1 is one week 3 schedule fox farm nutes the other is only bout 2 weeks old.what i did was mix the fox farm week 3 schedule in a 1/2 gal bottle.i mixed according to my half gallon instead of gallon.so what i've been doing is using a 1/2 cup measuring cup. half nutes and half water in the 1/2 measuring cup.i water every other day.seems to be working great.i am looking to buy a soul meter soon so i will kno when i need water and when not.with my hydro setup i got a 5 gal bucket with 4 gal of water in it right under my net pots.i got a bubbler system is what you guys call it. 2 air stones in the bottom.the thing seems to be working sweet.i got sproutlings coming and am about to do my res change and up my nutes to week 1.was wondering if i should even up the nutes yet or continue on using the seedlings week schdedule.and another thing could i rinse some hydroton rocks and put them at the bottom of the bucket over the air stones to hold them into place?what that be a bad idea or would it even work.someone let me know thanks for everything:joint:

On the FF feeding schedule it tells you to change out your resevoir every two weeks. After the initial nutrint solution is in the resevoir I just add water to top it of until the beginning of the next week, at which time I start topping of the res with the nute solution for that week. HYdro requires a lot of checking your ppm so I try to stay mindful of that. As long as your ppm stays within the acceptable range it doesn't really matter when you change out your res, just don't leave the same water in for more than 2 weeks.

I followed the Fox Farm instructions to the "T". I use a turkey baster for watering_allows me total control and it has a liquid measure so I got an idea of how each much plant is using in water.

Generally I water the plants once a day_but not if the moisture meter is at 4 or above_scale is 1~10

Hope this helps.

yo the hydro is looking great, tiny bit of nut burn on 1 plant but the others are great nothing on them kinda weird but,i dont think i was letting the nuts break down good enough so next time i redo i will make sure to break them down.whats the ideal water temp inside the res?i need to test mine actually.my one soil plant is banging.just now poped up 9 leafers.im so happy that plant is a monster.i got that one on a 12/12 now so well see what happens pray for me!haha:hump:
