Does Tobacco smoke harm the plants?

I was told by my friend that got me started, not to smoke cigs around my plants. After all the reading here, ive never seen it mentioned anywhere, so Im askin lol. I havent smoked in my basement in 3 months

I am a 2 pack a day smoker and have always smoked around my plants

the smoke does not hurt em but direct contact with nicotine is poison to em, I simply wash my hands before touchin em

Hmm.. I would advise not smoking around them. In theory that might clog your plants stigma not allowing to breath as well. In other words they won't release or take in CO2 to there full potential.

You can actually make Nicotine Cyanide with tobacco and water by making a concentrate (deadly neurotoxin). Personally I would'nt let any smoke near my ladies till the appointed time.

Hmm I wonder if theres a benefit from the smoke that outweighs the risk. lol after thinkin bout i dont know much about whats in the smoke. Does it have more Co2 than the normal air? Might be cool to find out and see if it could help the plant breathe or harm its breathing. I have been smoking my bong near them. Is that bad too?

id venture to say that since smoke in all forms from any source resinates itself and that resin from any source will block humidity, air flow and light transference that its advisable to NOT smoke much around em. really wanna help em cheaply- breathe on em. sit up close and stare and breathe out that Co2.

pick a wall in a room you smoke in. hit a spot w/ glasscleaner and wipe w/ a white cloth. see the yellow? that shit builds up on everything it comes in contact with. it will block the pores of the plant.smoking a pack a day in your growroom wont kill your plants, but it is not doing them any good.

It may do some good, but it may do some bad. I would think that a little smoke around the plants is no biggie, but smoking a pack in your growroom for better results will give you the opposite . As mentioned, alot of smoke will build up on the plant, potentially decreasing all aspects of growth.

Why? you should already have two rooms one for growing and one for blooming but its a weed and if several people and things you ready claim its not good then it amazes me that people still cant listen and want proof lol. Smoke around them no one is saying its going to kill them or make them look any different at all I doubt anyone is smoking that fucking much in a NON vented grow room. Your bong clogs eventually but with a fan blowing and ventilation its probably not doing anything to them. I want to know who is sitting in their grow rooms though and do you wear a bathing suit and sun glasses and put on sun tan lotion?

half the reason i put a exhaust fan in my grow room was so i could smoke,i dont think it's any worse than alot of dust on them.i'm also sure that plants in a smoke free room will do a little better than plants that are gettin a bong toke all the time. if you can't enjoy yourself whats the point.

Maybe thats why you haven't had much trouble with pests- the cigarette smoke on the plants keep killing them off.

First off this is complete BS, smoke away! In any grow room there should be a fresh in and old air out. The grow area has more air moving around then your average "room" and that is not including oscillating fans. Nicotine is harmful to plants but that only means on your hands, don't go roll a cig and touch your plants. Give me a break people.......
