Seedling won't grow straight

The seedling is not stretched ,stem is like half an inch ,small but thick enough ,first set of true leaves is almost as long as the stem ,no yellowing or browning nor curling.Seems like a healthy seedling but at one third of the stem it is bent in like a 45 degree angle.the light is an 125 watt cfl (true watts) and placed like not more than 2 inches high ......still the leaves and stem won t grow towards the light....why? could it be too close?

Are you using fertilizers? Is there a chance it has a fungus? Is the soil staying soggy? Just wondering...Happy Gardening! GrowIT!:weed:

crap, forgot to mention the most important......it is in hydro.,waterfarm .......mrdia is rockwool between hydroton (clay balls).....I used a really light solution with root stimulator to water it.....could this be the cause?
 
It could be that the root stimulator is making the plant focus most of its energy on growing roots instead of leaves. It would make sense since you're growing in hydro where the plant is more sensitive to adjustments

the seedling is one week old.....until yesterday ,i had a long 125w cfl....40 cm long....which i had to put in diagonal because my tent size is 40 cm x 40 cm x 120 cm....even so , ,the tip of the cfl was real close to the side of the tent ....and i think it was reflecting more light from that spot ,because the baby was pointing in that exact direction....where the bulb almost touched the tent.Yesterday i changed with a shorter ,different shaped cfl...135 watts(true watts) ,for which i was able to find a reflector to fit in my small tent...and still no changes ...the stem is still curved...check out the pic..

Looks fine to me, but if you only have one bulb and it is off to the side thats pretty inefficient lighting and would cause it to lean towards the light just like you said. But it's not that bad

i changed the bulb that was off to the side to a more compact shaped one , and it is in a reflector also so the light doesn t reflect the side anymore.....do you think i should raise it more and wait? at the moment it s at about 3 inches from the seedling.....so i m asking, it s better to raise it more or lower it more? Temperature is not a problem i have one pc cooler blasting air outside and one blowing at the seedling....temp stays at 26 27 degrees celsius.

Hi, The light height is fine as long as the leaves aren't looking heat stressed.
Are you covering the little sprout with a dome or at least the cut off bottom of a liter soda bottle with holes poked in it? If that sprout is not covered it will have a hard time rooting. It needs LOTS of humidity to help it while it's tender. The little leaves take in humidity and that takes the load off the new root system and actually gives it a chance to root more.
Also if you have a fan blowing directly on it you run the risk of drying it too much if it's not covered (wicking moisture from it's leaves too fast) this could be why it's leaning a bit too. (I'm wondering if it's leaning away from where the fan is?) Otherwise it looks fine, no worries eh?
No nutes are needed at all at the moment. Especially if it's growing from seed. (all the food it needs to start is in the seed)(if it's a clone the rooting hormone will do it's thing and again doesn't require additional nutrients.) I start feeding after the sprouts have the 2nd pair of branches starting to show, and then really really light strength. Smooth sailing I think for you! Happy Gardening! GrowIT!
 
thanx a lot for the tip......I just poked some holes in a small tupperware box and put it upside down over the little one...i still left the fan blowing ,just to take the heat off from the CFL so that it doesn't melt the dome....I watered it a bit with plain ph 'd aged water.I'll be back with news tomorrow.Cheers!

Sounds like a happy ending (or beginning) to me. One last note...the clearer the tupperware or dome the better, you already knew that though Huh? Happy Gardening! GrowIT!:weed:
