Its pretty much is going to come down to experience to get consistent dank results. A little time spent and a few seasons growing the same strain really improve your ability to interpret that plant.

Potency is stress related as well as genetics. Most plants I have grown have had the ability to be really potent. The more stress you introduce into the situation will result in lower quality buds. Density, quantity, and potency are all effected.

The best way to grow dank bud is to give a good girl the best environment possible for its growth.
ive heard that stress increases potency???

all tips above r good but have u tried changing the light cycle at the end of bloom, in the last 3 to 4 weeks i do 14/10, i find it works a treat and have tested it too, do the same as i did, pull 1 out the room so it stays 12/12 and see the difference, u will be shocked, dont go ova 14/10 cause ive been told it can harm ur thc if the lights r on any longer, peace

dont cut back on nitrogen during flowering, especially in the early stages....
my advice would be differant, dont give any nitrogen at all in late flowering the plant wants and is going to draw it from the leaves by late flowering to continue forming buds, iv found that to much nitrogen nuterients past week 4 of flowering will cause flowering to slow down and mess up the bud at the end, the plants wants to use the nitrogen and iv found you get little spikes of bud coming out of already existing buds and hence takes a longer time to finish and makes the budd far less aestheticlly pleaseing and it will never all mature at the same time.

increasing "thc content" and "resin production" are two different things.

One can be manipulated one really can't be, there is a peak harvest time
when the highest percentage of cannabinoids are THC and then they begin
degrading, but even the highest percentage ratio of THC/other cannabinoids
are predetermined by the genes.

for the most part everyone has explained that its the genetics, Go order some good beans and don't worry about the "tricks" just get with HID if your not already, I prefer HPS in flower and the more the better if you can handle the heat.

Good genetics

there are no "tricks" to make the weed better, yes you may grow the shwag in your closet and keep it from getting pollinated thus growing sensimelia. This is just growing the strain in controlled environment instead of in a field along with 1500 assorted sex plants and what the weed could have been and not any better than it was in the first place.

So the best thing you can do is just buy the good beans and give it what it needs. Get a couple of grows under your belt and you will learn your own tricks that may only work in your region or area due to temps and humidity. Basic fertilizer feeding needs to be learned along with the watering only when needed.Normally the "tricks" is what will have new growers in the problems section asking what is wrong. Things in most cases simply don't kill the hardy weed plant so people think its helping and offer the new trick of the day that they have tested in no way at all. Its a plant so if you already have a green thumb you know you aren't normally fucking with your house plants you just water them when needed and they look great.

Good luck and either practice now with any seeds you can find and then purchase some good ones and start cloning but please dont start off with tricks. Just go buy a bigger light now and make it happen.

btw I am very stoned listening to the Tiger woods mistress beauty pageant on Stern, I cant wait for this one to be on Howard TV

all the plant sin the far back i was too lazy to water, developed crazy icy crystals... so that stressed them in my opinion

Tha main thing I haven't seen mentioned yet (Or I just missed it if it was!), is DON"T HARVEST SO EARLY!!!!! I bet 90% of the growers out there harvest prematurely because of impatience or they are working a perpetual grow and they HAVE to harvest to clear room for the next wave. Not to say that early harvesting is necessarily a bad thing, it just depends on what floats your boat. If you are wanting a really strong couch-lock stone, give your plants a couple of extra weeks in flowering, then cure it out good. You'll be amazed at the difference that little bit of extra time will make!!!

Good luck, dude!!!

Once flowering try scoring the plant with your fingernail a few times a week so its forced to repair itself with resin. Ideally you want the plant to believe its under attack and needs to protect itself. Once you have about 3 weeks from harvest or you notice those cloudy lil trichomes put cold water in your res if your using a form of hydro growing and cut your lights back even further to 8hrs daylight. On your last week or last 4 days cut the light out altogether and use no nutes untill harvest. A majority of times youll end up with a stessed looking purpish plant high in resin. This has worked for me in the past with sativas and indicas. lol if you gots a plant to mess with see if it gives you the results you desire.

I'd be very hesitant to try any of those things.

GREAT advice.

I'd hate to tell you how long it took me to get harvest time right.(This was before good books on the subject were available.)

if you're looking for a heavier stone, and you already have top genetics, then maybe you've developed a good tolerance for what you grow. mix it up, get something different going, try changing how you smoke it, make some edibles.

there are no tricks to making more thc, only tricks to flowering it out to it's potential, i.e . simply growing it right.

If you are looking for a more heavy kind of head stone and you have the growing side of things down to a t then if a strain is a 8 week one leave it for a extra 2 weeks this will cause the thc glads to go a more dark coulour but it will make the cannabis far more heavy......................................tyke...................................................................................................

I'm going to go ahead and say there are not "tricks" to getting bigger better buds. But, chances are you can increase your production by making sure your system is running as optimally as possible. So with that said, here is a short list of things I've altered over time to see noticeable weight/potency increase.

Replace your Bulbs. Even when they don't burn out, the lumens drastically decrease after a year of 12/12

Use Fluorescents for Veg (this is based on my own personal experience and I no longer use MHs. Close HOT8s will reduce stretch..hence more bud less stem.

Increase your air flow. Sometimes a passive intake isn't enough if your room is big or your exhuast is not strong enough.... Hooking your exhuast into cool-hoods decreases your CFMS. Buy a separate fan to exhuast the heat if necessary.

Buy a Dehumidifier. I swear on my left testicle that the purchase increases trich production. Flowering room went from an average 60-70% down to %35 where it now stays. This will increase heat and power consumption though.

Increase your lumens. Yeah, that $100 400W light on HTGSupply seems like a good idea, but if you can afford it, don't go smaller than 600W.

Trim up the lower 5inches of your plant during early flowering. This keeps the plant from wasting precious energy on small popcorn buds that won't ever fully develop since they are so low.

Stagger your harvests. Take off the main colas and then leave the plant for another week or two as it heals and continues to bud up.
