That is rediculous, there is no such thing as THC overdose unless you consumed the equivalent of 15,000 joints of the best headies in a 5 minute period of time and that is physically impossible, the kid would just sleep it off, so they are stupid...

Oh, I just read the last post and I didn't realize they decided to tripple the amount it would take...lol...even better....I smoked a QP in 4 hrs on a bet one day and other than barely being able to breathe cuz of the tar I was just really baked and ate everything in the house..but other than that....it is amazing how ignorant the majoty of people are...sad really....how the hell can one justify banning a plant, God's creation, who the fuck do these politicians think they are?

Ya know when I was a kid my Dad showed me what a gun can do how destructive they can be, how to handle one how to shoot a gun and give it respect for it's intended use. If you expect a kid to do this by them self's well you get what ya got. One needs a license to drive a car grow weed become a doc, But unfortunately you do not need one to have kid's any asshole can reproduce that alone dose not make you a parent.:wall:

Del,

I agree. Any weapon (or tool that can be used as one) needs to be treated with the proper respect or someone is going to end up hurt. What annoys me about this story is that they are twisting it into something it isn't. I collect edged weapons, so does that mean that if one of my (thankfully nonexistent) kids cut his fingers off messing with them while I was gone that I had him using them to guard my MMJ grow? Or does it mean that the little shithead disobeyed me and started playing with one of my swords even though he knew he wasn't supposed to? The presence of weapons and an MMJ grow in a home don't necessarily have any direct connection to each other, so why does the media have to make this kid shooting himself a drug related incident? Would they do the same thing if his dad home brewed beer? I mean, the kid must have had the gun to protect his dads beer operation, so wouldn't that mean it was an alcohol related incident and that the brewing operation should be a prominent part of the story?

Weapons need to be locked up around kids.... no brainer (or it should be).

A parent should not do illegal activity with a child living at the house....no brainer (or it should be).

Thanks bro, Yes kids can be a paint to control sometimes just godda let them know who's the boss I know I have 4 and that will not work 100% of the time. If you teach them right from wrong witch as a parent is *YOUR JOB* you may not like it( and you know they wont till lator in life ) but hey think of it like this... They did not ask you to be brought into this world and the 2 minutes of pleasure you got producing them dose not give you the right to ignore your job.

Be leave me I don't like the way the law twist shit to make any MMJ grower look bad but again you must look deeper they are elected officals that love free press so they can get reelected- what grab's head lines ? ( In my best gomer cocky voice ) I just busted some dam doper cuz his kid shot himself if the foot what an irresponsible parent having his 11 year old son protecting his dope...:wall:

What better way to further his cause. :cuss:

The heck it doesn't. The public doesn't isolate information like that. They look at the whole picture. This picture paints MMJ in a bad light, and that's the parents fault.

I'll go one further, although I KNOW it is unpopular ... if you are growing weed illegally, and you have kids in the house ... you are an IRRESPONSIBLE parent. Period.

1. It was a medical grow so it was not illegal.

2. How exactly is having a medical grow make one an irresponsible parent?

Like I said... if you are growing ILLEGALLY. pay attention.

The vast majority of growers are in states where it is illegal.

If you grow with kids in the house....you are an irresponsible parent.

You are making no sense, you keep saying this guy was irresponsibe because he was growing, yet his was a medical grow. Make up your mind.

I did NOT say that at all. Man.... reading folks...reading.

I said he was a screw up for leaving a rifle unlocked with a minor in the house. I said it DOES make MMJ look bad (you don't think so?).

I said further, and in response to ANOTHER post, that ALSO (see the difference) any parent who is growing ILLEGALLY is ALSO an irresponsible person.

I'm making sense.... you are simply in a fog.

It makes the parents look bad. Dumb people will generalize to say that MMJ is bad as a result of this article but there really is no connection. If the parents also had a meth op would people take the blame off the MMJ? Who cares? If a million people grow weed, eventually accidents and bad parenting will wind cops in the home with the weed op. The oness is down the the article writing and the attitude of the "story". They are trying to make mmj look bad.

I knew eventually some lame parent would allow a baby to get at some cookies...but oh well, lets look at how many kids OD on OTC drugs every year and rethink the whole phrase "marijuana overdose". Nigga please!

lets face it. Their are people out there who are so stupid it boggles the mind of anyone who can read. Dont forget that others are not like you inside. They are dumb in ways we cannot imagine. Kid has access to a gun. Kid has access to edibles. WTF! lol. Talk about asking for trouble. No matter what the eneavor a tight ship should be run. Mistakes and slacking off in life are easy to do and there is no rule book but the one that says "lets laugh at this with hindsight". I am a small legal med grower and I tried to date again this last week and sure enough I ask for a little respect over this fact and some random freind of her daughters, a 19 year old kid, drops her kid off and says to me "so you grow pot, I heard". I was like wtf! I dont even smoke with other people, just for my condition! Lol, I shot that down fast. Sucks but we all know the reality is to be a uber grown up all the time in any situation. Letting anything go means trouble for a grownup. I feel boring. lol/.

obviously the father dropped the ball, I believe a child has to be 12 in California before they can legally be left alone in the home, so strike one right there, loaded gun in the house, another stupid move, I'm a grower, and I'm armed, but I'm also responsible, my shotgun is across the room from the ammo, the ammo is stored in a way that my son can't get to it, but I can if needed, and I've tought my son gun safety the right way, he goes to the range with me, I shoot clays with my shotgun, he shoots a target with his Red Ryder(an age appropriate gun), we have a great time.

You restored (or brought I guess) some faith into me for the whole "america/guns" thing. I'm from Canada and never really supported guns in any way, but your views on it seem very reasonable and positive. +rep :weed:
