Before its time to flower my plants I want to get some new lights, but I am on a limited budget so the cheaper the better.... would a high voltage CFL do it?

figure around 10,000 lumen per sq/ft and remember that an area 6'x6' is 36 sq/ft not 12... around those lumen in the 5k to 7k spectrum is fine. There are differences in HID and flouros but that's the basic figure to shoot for.

if you have enough on the cfl's and get a good light penatration threw the canopy then cfl's work great for flowering. enough light, feeding them good bloom nutes, good air flow and youwill have some nice buds.
