I think the U.S. are testing atomic weapons or someshit in the ocean. Maybe that's what cause the quakes the explosion prolly destroyed the earths plasts or something. But i definatly think there is a conspiracy. and i also think all this was caused by humans.

I think this is being monitored by beings operating outside of the space time continuum, they warned us every century with a prophecies right up until the time its going to happen.

hahaha im lovin the posts, now sounds like America is all paranoid they're gonna get one, it could be possible but the news companies are rakin in the dough with all these 'natural' disasters. There's absolutely no way to prove they were man made besides random theories, I think everyone just hates the government now

Breaking News: Recent earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc have all been linked to one cause, WHALES. Theres been a private undercover investigation on whales for several years now. Hint have shown whale plans to destroy the human race but no real evidence until the killing of the whale trainer last week. After interrogatting a capture whale named moby we discover how the whales caused the earthquakes and tsunami. They gather in huge number 10-15 at the bottom of the ocean floor and have a big orgy. The massive movements of f**king whale cause the earthquakes and tsunami thats responsible for the lives of thousands. ~March 1, 2010

the 8.8 earth quake changed the tilt of the earth... I'm just saying Nastrodamas, the bible, hopi indians, Myans... seems pretty small minded of anyone to blow off all these past warning about this time.
The problem is if you actually research these things there's absolutely no truth to be found. Just a bunch of hype to sell books and increase viewers to TV shows.

Take the latest Mayan "prophecies" that Mayan priests say is Christian dogma and beliefs being thrust onto a lot of misinformation about Mayan history. None of it even meshes with what the Mayans believe.

Oh but we love scary stories! :spew:

i thought that typically all big quakes had an effect on the earth's axis?

and i do actually think that there is some kinda truth to the prophecies and the mayans, 2012, etc. i dont completely disregard those things...but i dont think that the planet is going to come to an end, or our species.

one thing i do think though, is that mother nature is going to start finding more ways of "curing" herself of humans. we can only do so much to the planet before the planet fights back and tries to heal itself of us...

I wouldn't worry until the dolphins leave the planet.

In other words you are saying that on this date the earth, sun and galactic center ARE NOT going to line up in a way that occurs only once every 36000 years.

The problem is actually naysayers who have heard other people argue on forums, but have not actually done the research themselves...

In the amazon rainforest, when any one species of insects become too proliferate they will become ten times more likely of falling prey to the corticeps fungi, a ever mutating fungus that infects small insects, causing them to act oddly, gain altitude, and then erupts from the body and releases spores to infect nearby insects. the forces of nature are great equalizers to the animal kingdom, but what separates us humans from the rest of the animal kingdom?
thats right your frontal lobes! we are the only species that has any real chance of survival in the face of a global natural disaster. I believe that the frontal cortex arose in us for that sole purpose, before us what happened to the dominant life forms of our planet? they went extinct due to forces beyond conception for any creature of the time. think of life as not just what it is on the surface, the procreation of bio-organic cells/multi cellular organisms, but as a single interconnected being. a being that took from the ashes and mistakes of its fallen legacy, and built upon it a new legacy. one with a contingency plan for just such reoccurring disasters called the brain. it is up to us to keep this planet, our species, and life in its grandeur alive.

people have been putting a date to the end since we were able to grasp the concept of an end, sure nastrodamas made some pretty eerily accurate predictions, but he was still just a man. the bible? rubbish. no offense to you or anyone else who believes in all knowing deities. hopi indians and the mayans couldn't even predict they're own end let alone the end of the world.

and for everyone else jumping on the mayan bandwagon.. what are mayans? just pre spanish raped mexicans. and mexicans are lazy, I would put my money on the calender is unfinished, the creator was going to finish it but then he got high and ate tacos and stuff, like who cares about hundreds of years in the future?
