How about sending a letter across the US? Fedex charges almost $20, United States Post Office charges .44 cents for the same service.

The US government has 0 control over this, the US postal service, although being a wing of the US government is ran as a private business. I believe this is really only to gain government protection.

The facts are that govt. insurance policies offer the GREATEST choice for their recipients than ANY private policies. They have the true CADILLAC programs, based on CHOICE of insurance carriers. Greater than anyone else.

They are keeping it too. All of big labor will get a pass.... make Congress and staff take the same deal as they wish to FORCE on you and watch universal health care NEVER be uttered again in DC.

Health care should be a right of the citizens in a rich, industrialized, enlightened nation. That's exactly why we don't have it here. First, it's cheap as hell thanks to your republican ideals: socialism for the rich giving subsidies to Ag business which affect overall cost of the meat industry. That's true capitalism, right?

Second, there is no comparing food industry to health. Health care should not be viewed under the same profit margin logic as normal industry because human life is involved.

I have NEVER said we have socialized medicine. We have some govt. programs which are socialized...and they are all going broke at alarming rates.

This is exactly why the majority of the country doesn't want MORE OF THE SAME.

The USA is second to none in health care. You want a band aid....go to europe. Anything truly serious....you head to the USA. That's what Europeans do. All the time. Why the PREMIERE of the Newfoundland and NS just flew down to FLORIDA for heart surgery.... guess he didn't want to wait a few years for health care!!

American may have some of the best Doctors around (the people who actually give you care.) But we have one the worst health care systems of all industrialized nations. - The World Health Organization, based on life span, general population health and cost.

Quit confusing our Doctor's abilities with the greedy corporations who limit our access to them.

actually you're wrong. the reason the rulers of other countries come to the US is because here the wallet talks, and no one is richer than politicians.

it wasn't because there was anything particularly wrong with getting the surgery in his country, its that he's one of the FEW who can afford to get that type of surgery in the states.
