I've never used any type of rooting hormone, and have no idea how much to use. From what I've read with most of them (the gels any way) after taking the cutting you soak it in the gel for a minute or 2 and then into what ever your medium is. If I did start using some that would be my plan. Good luck!! Bummer about the BnS, are you starting anymore?
Nothing else right now from seed. I'm gonna have my hands full with cloning for a while. I might start some seeds after spring is finally here. ha, if ever!
But took my first cuttings this morning. pics coming...

idk if this will help but it seem's dude know's what he's doing and although he did't post a link to a journal i think it's a new thread so if u follow it for a day or two maybe he'll post a link to his journal it's not on RIU but here's the link hopefully this'll help u man peace and good luck dude

Good info there thanks man.
either way if u can't get em rooted then hey you're still gonna do ok man those plants are so beautiful man want to donate one??? lmao if only if only lol
and i know u made that cloner and it was probley a pain but in the April 2009 edition of HighTimes there is a cloneing technique i've used or i told my cousin about he stuck to the exact way guy said do it and had a succes rate or 7/10 the first 2 times and the third time it was a 6/10 ration not bad in my eye's and he's only ever done 5 complete grows.he say's he's got a batch going now. i haven't talked to him in a week so when i call hiim i'll get back at you and tell u what the results were i hope they were good cause he promised me 4 clone's of CHEESE if he successfully root's atleast 20/30 i'm sure he will(got my fingers crossed). i'll be trying my hand at cloneing here soon and ima use the technique in HighTimes. if u don't have success at the aeroponics cloner i'll try and find my disc to my scanner and put the page up (new comp haven't uploaded scanner yet i'm a stoner) or i can just relay the info word for word (yeah i'm that good of a guy lol) and i type super fast, so it's no problem to help a fellow stoner/pain patient. ??? are u a patient if u are what's ure fav strain for back pain relief if that's you're ailement that is?? let me stop typeing i'm rambleing now lol.
Hahaha, that's alright. I've learned so much hanging around these threads. Ramble on
I do treat a lot of back pain but mostly shoulder pain and as an antidepressant.
ha
As you can see I favor the indicas for that. The Bubblelicious and Violator Kush and Aurora Indica that I'll probably plant later. I like the sativas for the depression though. lol
Here's the bubble cloner Im using right now, this one I used a pipe insulator that I cut up for the plugs. The clones in it are 1 week old. 30 or so already have roots and I have 15 different strains in it. I have one that is storage I use neoprene plugs for and prefer those but this one holds more clones (54 compared to 24) and it works almost as good.
Yo nick the pics didn't make it for me. I did go with the neopreem plugs, dandy little things and light tight.
I use root hormone on mine just some clonex gel, I just pour some clonex into a shot glass dip the tip of the clone and put it in a plug then in the water and whatever gel I have left in my shot glass at the end I pour into the water. I think it shaves off a few days on my clones and helps with some of the harder to clone strains but I don't think its a necessity and it does just come off in the water but I think it jump starts the process.
That's what I was thinking on the rooting hormone. After I made my cutss I slit the stem in several places before soaking in the clonex gel for a minute.
Lots of good feedback from everyone, thanks. So this is what I came up with.(Remember I'm a cheap bastard, ha)
I took a sheet of 3/4" polystyrene I had around and a 1.5" holesaw blade and 12" stiff wire.
I just measured off half of what I needed and bent the wire, scratched a pattern through the foil for my blade to follow.
Then the holesaw. I just eyeballed it but if you wanted to lay out a pattern just as well. No drill, just a couple twists of the wrist and pop it out.
After I had all the holes cut I cut around the outside and smoothed it all up by hand.
pop in the plugs and it took me longer to put it on here than it took me to make it. hahaha
So that's how I got into aeroponics.
That brought the canopy down some and when I fill up this next 16 it will even them on out.
thanks for the visit.
have a nice jay
