i saw this movie at.....well, a fat goth chicks house. no disrespect or anything but i call em how i see em. and well she asked if i wanted to watch a vampire movie and i said hell yea thinkin of a real vampire movie like blade or underworld something. she puts twilight (i hadnt really heard of it at that time) in and after the first 10 minutes i say "this is NOT a vampire movie" and the rest of the movie was just bad. i felt duped. being high helped a lil. never again tho. this should not be in the same category as vampire movies.

I thought part of being "goth" is the I hate the world and myself attitude. Maybe you're just not goth, ever think about that?

im not being a dickhead to you hun i was just making a funny. im sorry if you took offense, i didnt mean that i'd make *you* specifically eat your teeth lol. just that im not a whiny death obsessed person that people think goth girls are. basically to prove that not all goth girls are these over dramatic suicide cases that people seem to think they are.
I was under the assumption that we were both joking when we were jabbing eachother....

i just associate goth as people who enjoy gothic culture. goth music, goth art, goth fashion, etc. i always thought the "i hate the world and myself" was more of an "emo" thing...goth and emo are actually different "sub cultures" now...haha. god it gets confusing at times.

she should have been more honest with you lol. im sorry that you got tricked into watching it. i would consider it a vampire teen romance story. not just a "vampire movie"

Sorry it is nothing against you, just personal experience with women who love to think they are great interpreters of our language. I had to sit through IB English with a man-hating feminist teacher who insisted we get inside of Sylvia Plaths head and understand why men are such assholes haha.

Good point, perhaps i am confusing goths with Emos. Now to think about it, it is the emos who do that. haha looks like I am busting your balls for all the wrong reasons today

hahahahahaha aww dude that probably really sucked. i happen to think that feminists are a bit of a pain in the ass. the hardcore ones anyway. im all for women having equal rights as men and equal opportunities...but i like to let men be men. i like to feel like a woman when im around a man...and not his equal in every way. for example...i like when a guy is stronger than me, or braver than me, or more protective, etc. ;-)

yes, i've been dying to see new moon but i couldnt get out to the theatre to see it, so i'll have to wait for dvd. i've heard new moon was great and im ALL for taylor's abs :D haha

i didnt mind the first movie...i was just a bit disappointed. i didnt like how much they changed the movie from the book. rob pattinson does NOT play edward properly. in the books edward is much more lighthearted and charming...not so moody and brooding.
Ahhh yes. Taylor's abs.. don't even get me started

Yeah I felt the same way.. I liked it but I was also disappointed at how much of the book was left out of the movie. There was so much more emotion and chemistry between Edward and Bella in the book that wasn't portrayed very well in the movie. I kinda felt like they rushed through and skipped a bunch of parts when they made the movie.. and Edward was definitely sweeter and more charming in the book. Oh and not to mention Kristen Stewart's bad acting. :-? But what can I say? I still enjoyed watching it because of the love I have for the books.

I like how this is turning into a "I like twilight" instead of an "I hate twilight" thread haha

I am nowhere near fat, or "Goth", and I LOVED Twilight and New Moon. Not because they were amazing movies or anything, but because:
A. Edward is gorgeous.
B. I have a vampire obsession (True Blood = best show EVER. And yes, it has nudity and sex)
C. I read all 4.5 books (the 5th was started, leaked to the net, then never finished) and it was cool to have faces to picture when I read them all again.

HOWEVER, they cut way too much from the books out (the books are fucking awesome) and a lot of the acting is pretty bad. And the cheap ass way they made him sparkle.. come on now. The 1st movies budget must've been $6.50 for that.

never saw a movie that was better than the book...
but then again ive never read twilight or seen a movie/show about so i cant really comment on it.
but from the previews/teasers i ahve seen, to say that twilight is gay would be a terrible insult to anyone homosexual or lesbian, living or dead, and yet to be born
it really looks terrible! not sure if i would use the film to start a fire with....the fire might be insulted! but im a dude so thats what im supposed to think, according to the ladies of this thread ;)

and Mrs Worm- lol.. i cant help this... i really cant.. but your sig  you forgot something, so i have a point to make-
If everything you give a woman she will make better, than why is it that I give my woman money and I get bills in return???? all in good fun ;)

I have a point to make too: tell your woman to pay her own bills. I do. :p
