I hope this journal turns out magnificent....
I have planted a garden containing the following:
1.morning glorys (several varieties)
2.moon flowers (first year trying these)
3.johnny jump ups. (heard they were finicky)
4.sunflowers.(from mamouth to evening mix. 6ft to 20 ft tall)
5.impatients. (which are easy)
6.4 o clocks (which will serve as back drop to the)
7.420 (which should be amongst the)
8. bird of paradise(s)
This is the begining as I have numerous sprouts turning up. I have dug all beds and (left unframed) mixed the yards natural soil with 1/2 mix of top soil. In more important spots I put a lil manure in their for good measure. Ive been keepin the planted areas moist with a quick spray in the early AM.
I am in a full on war with feral cats at the moment and coffe grounds in the beds seems to be working.
Moonflowers were up after 3 days on monday the 21.
morning glorys started to follow on 22nd. sunflowers today the 25th.
So Definitely more stuff going in the garden as the weather changes....Febuary 28th 1st sunflower up and out
9. Honey suckle vine. (bought at store and transfered)
I do prefer to grow from seed. I find it amazing..
The gardens name represents what i hope to do.. Im not the type who makes use of planters too much. I have had to strecth my botanical morales this year and gone with several: for the enemy combatant soil Im dealing with....
I hope to share this experience more through piktures than words. My means are simple, my goal is simple, my plan is not giving up on "Grandmahs OverLoad Garden"
Mother Nature Dictates Pickture updates....
Enjoy and Thank you for having me RIU
