i use mechanical timer with 2 outlets i run light on 1 plug & exhaust fan on the other if you use htg. budget light you wont have cooleable reflector so youll want to plug oscillating fan in second outlet i did 2 grows with same set up youll be using in summer i ran light cycle so most of my on time was at night 2 cope with heat issues you can find mechanical timers @ wal-mart [where i got mine] i prefer the ones with 2 outlets & no digital crap harbor freight has them too & thrift stores are a good place to find a lot of stuff cheap smalla/c. units & heaters [if you need heat inyour room use caution] i have small ceramic heater with thermostat $ 22 at k-mart as my gro-room is outside on patio on north side of house easier 2 cool in summer & its out of sight too i shouldnt be having heat issues as my air cooled reflector will be pulling warm air out of room my gro-room is a work in progress youll get there i started just like you
