I really can't tell much from the pics as they are just too blurry, but if you're confident it's not N, then my next bet would be Mg. It looks like the leaf tips are brown and twisty? Maybe it's an Fe defecieny, but it looks like older growth is most affected.

Thanks Ninja. You might be right as i dont know my pH? I dont know how accurate it is but i went on the Sydney Water website which they give readings of pH and other chemicals coming out of the tap in different catchements. It all seemed fine but they could just be bullshit artists. I did add nutes to water that i used but i used it about a week apart and kept it sealed in a 2L botttle. Could that stuff up pH? I mean leaving water that had nutes added to it and then stored? I just thought you had to shake the bottle to get some oxygen back into it. Stop laughing you lot. When i smoke my first homegrow i will be sooooooooooo appreciative of your time and help.

Yeah need to agree with ninj, if it looks like N defeciency then it most likely is!

The pH of tap water is usually around 7-7.5 from my experience in Vic and NSW. I don't believe in adjusting the pH down for plants in soil, however it's entirely possible that something has pushed your pH out of whack. Got a tester?

see after having another look i dont think N is the big problem, if it was N i reckon the smaller leaves would have yellowed up much more than the ones above them. and there is the crisping at the tips which hasn't happened to me previously when it was N defficient

No tester. I tried to get one at a pet shop the other day but they directed me to a chemist. I just looked on ebay and they seem to jump in price from about $40 to $120. I hate buying things that dont work but will look over some past posts about the costs. I have taken up too much time already on this thread with my silly little plant so sorry. Thanks again to you all. I am bored of drinking beers and havent smoked in about 3 months so you can understand my desire to get even a few cones worth.

ask for an aquarium ph tester at the pet shop. try an fish shop/aquarium.

Kmoo is on the money, you want a soil ph tester, available at any garden shop and even in big w etc in the gardenning section.

G'day :) Hi I am Stelthy, I am from the other down under - in relation to you :) (UK), It must be pretty cool being able to use the sun to grow from the heat and brightness Ive seen in pics, I have some friends from OZ they live in Perth I dunno where that is from all of you? They use Hydro though... anyhow I thought I'd make an appearence since a buddy of mine ROCKSTEADY6 made me aware I hadn't posted anything on this thread yet dispite him posting to mine, and I am interested in other countries grow's n techniques, Ill add my latest pic in a mo - STELTHY

Ok so this is my latest pic, I am using a DWC setup and am running 2 small fluros as side lighting, 2X 90w ufo LEDS @ 630nm each and a selection of Envirogrow lights 250w 150w and 125w, I change them as and when my temps depict :) I also have a co2 injector, and am looking into a couple of UV-B lights to maximize my plants THC production, I am using Canna nuits and am using various boosts such as BUD CANDY, CANNA BOOST, BLOOMBASTIC, SUPERTHRIVE, CHA-CHING And I am 36 days into flowering, I am growing Jack Herer and a Skunk/Cheese cross, JH is doing great but S.C. has been over boosted am fixing her with PH Balanced water and plant disinfectant, until she recovers then I will boost her again but with the right ratio of nuits this time, please check out my thread and/or albums leave comments etc, many thanks - STELTHY

Hi kids,

I'm in the south east like you Jats. I think you are right...What about us Aussies... WHAT ABOUT MEEEE! Just started my first little "Orchard" of PPP and some random seeds I acquired semi-legally from the internet. Marijuana-seeds.nL. I bought 10 seeds, got 5 free, all of them have germinated and are growing perfectly...I think.

Planning on getting a few Indicas for a SOG soil grow. It's my first time so I may fall down a few times, but I can keep you all updated on the progress of my little girls.

As far as set up is concerned I have a 1500W HPS, which I plan to raise my mothers under. Is this too many wats? Is it overkill? I would like to keep my consumption on all things down. because i find, although I wield a ferocious capitalistic streak, I am, in my older age, becoming more of a hippy... Hence the growing weed deal.

Also another topic I would like to bring up is... Why can't we get our hands on interesting strains here? I mean, has anyone ever been given a choice by their dealer?
