could somebody help me out on this one. ive had this problem several times, and it's really starting to piss me off. i thought that it was nutrient burn on the last couple grows, but now i really don't think so. ive given it very lite nutes and the problem is starting exactly the same. by the end of my grows, the leaves look terrible (the buds aren't really affected just the leaves). i've had a gnat problem. i've used sticky traps and made very sure i havn't overwatered. can gnats cause this kind of problem? any help or tips would be appreciated. i'm ending up with great bud, but i want my babies to be green and pretty at the end. it's mk ultra

Pot lights low watt cfls attached to each pot provides light to the underneath over time the canopy grows that dense the bottom leaves die due to lack of light

It it starts after you begin to flower there is a good chance it is a nitrogen deficiency. Very common during flower. I use veg nutes the first few weeks of flower and do not totaly cut them out until the last few weeks.

I throw grow big (fox farm)in very third nute just half of whats recommend so i dont get that problem
Yep FF here also. Say if my flower recipe calls for 1 teaspoon Tiger Bloom then I use 1/4 tsp Grow Big and 3/4 tsp Tiger Bloom for example. I even may make a guano tea or top dress a month in or so. You just do not want to go overboard with N during flower. Once you find the balance that works for you its all downhill, lol.:hump:

I've seen almost identical leaves on my own plants. In my case they eventually dried up crispy brown, and it and moved from plant to plant. I finally figured out my humidity was too high and it was a fungus. I got a dehumidifier, and on the advice of an old grower some "Garden Safe Fungicide 3" (Fungicide, Insecticide, Miticide....in a green spray bottle at Home Depot). Remove the affected part of the leaves, or entire leaf if its too far gone....they're not gonna turn green again. Get the humidity dwn and follow bottle directions. For me was the cure. Good luck

that sounds like some pretty good advice. i'm new to indoor and i do live in a humid part of the country. my leaves turn brown like that and it does tend to jump plant to plant. thanks

Do you know what mate I thought to myself it looked like mould on the leaves and dismissed it as they were wet too near soil? And as I have no way of testing humidity I cannot rule it out. Does anyone know of a way of testing humidity cheap IE I don’t have a penny

Are you growing from seed, and if so, how old are the plants.
If that’s directed at me it took from 1st jan until 9th jan until they popped through the soil I put them in my grow room on 24/0 for 3 weeks before I brought the lights down a hour a day until I reached 18/6 the 1 week 18/6 now on 3 days of 12/12 my breed is El-neno all plants are 50 cm high now and drink between them 3litres of nutriments and 2 litres of distilled water every 54 hours or so drinking more and more. I have no drainage holes in containers don’t have room for containers to catch water so clay balls make an inch at the bottom for drainage I still have to be exact on levels of water given

The mold issue is a possibilty, good call. I am lucky enough to have never dealt with it before, so really no input there. But now that you have stated you have no drainage holes I am leaning back toward a nute issue. No matter how careful you are watering, you are going to end up with a salt build up in your medium. And being it seems to show up at about the same point in each grow, the lower medium has probaly became very acidic. Causing lockout issues. I would def figure out a way to get some drainage in those pots. But some fugal spray wouldnt hurt just in case.

Wow mate came here to answer a thread and you have through a spanner in my theory you are right how am I going to flush? My problem is height I have just enough any ideas? Large silver through away baking trays from the pound shop just big enough stick a few clay balls in the bottom so pots are not sitting in it. Just one problem how do I drill holes in the bottom of 7 litre pots without damaging the roots remember I have 4 plants in each container I know stupid but first grow forgive me but I think two out of each pot may be mails so in the end 2 per 7 litre pot and there is 4 of them I am sexing at the moment 3 showing sex as female all the roots will be intertwined by now so separating into 5l containers which I have is not possible they have drainage holes wtf am I going to do?????

Drill at the very bottom but from the side. You wont have to tip the pots this way. And dont worry about the roots, a little knick from a drill bit will not cause any harm. Just be sure to sterilize the bit before drilling your holes just to be safe. I would drill the holes about 3 or 4 inches apart. (75-100 mm) The pans are a good idea. Just sit the pots on a block of wood or something to raise them up a bit. It may be a pain to keep dumping the water, but I think it would be worth the effort. Maybe get some final flush or the likes to help release the salt bonds a bit quicker. Then you will have a better medium and pots that drain. Good Luck!!!!
