Super Lemon Haze outdoor in South West Australia

The south west of Australia is hot yet lush and has many dairy farms, oranges, and crops. Feels like about the perfect place to grow weed :D

I'm sorry I didn't save earlier pics, but the outdoor yawn from the cold September all the way through to January pretty much nothing happened.

This plant was topped by an animal and starts with 2 branches. I was mad, but deal with it. My fault for not putting the cover on it.

It was also topped a bit later as well :)

Pics are Feb 2. So it is 2 weeks later tomorrow. Time for some new pics.

This girl got topped for Valentines day again, she might be preparing to flower so it was now or never. I only topped the 2 tallest shoots, one was about 18 inches from the ground, the other 17 inches. The other main top shoots are another inch down. A couple more hide down low.

There should be massive stretch, and the autumn here is hot and just an extension of summer :)

Feed.. some manure but mostly fed on liquid fertilizer, called thrive. Super Lemon Haze is touted as handling high EC levels. Well, in the ground I found that it wanted food more than once a week. I tried giving it more and it took plenty to come nice and dark green. Before that it started killing off the bottom leaves long ago ! Now I am giving it food basically every day and the growth took off. Go go outdoor hydro ! :)

I guess the food mostly washes away, very good drainage. I will use plain water flush after the flower food, just in case.

Read the details ;) It was topped when it had only 2 nodes, so split into 2 branches

From there, it grew for a while and the 2 tops were also topped

That produced 8 branches one is missing it was very small and the lowest so it was pruned. You can see 5 of the main 7 branches. Only 1 is very low, it should catch up a lot during the stretch :) I may tie down some of the plant soon, but have limited room until I pull the indica strain plants next to this plant (they are flowering properly and have bud sites with hairs and have already put on some chunk

SLH is a solid plant, strong too,lot of crystal, looks like a diamond.I got some lil SLHxMasterkush girls I'm growing out rite now.

I really want to try it, will get to try hydro of it soon though. Without even trying it, given the fact its already won 2 cups in a row, the mega THC content, the rave reviews around.. I think it can go 3 wins in a row like the Super Silver Haze did 10yrs ago

Apart from Pineapple, Lemon is my favourite flavoured bud. Closely follow by sweet berry tastes :D

So I'm thinking I might collect a couple beans from the mostly indica plants I have going next to this, and make my own West Aussie sour diesel. The plants next to this have a strong fuely smell and were great smoke when grown out into big plants. Dank as.

i read the post...mine have a more narrow leaf that was the diffrence i ment. looks good keep pix coming good luck

Its nearly always sativa pheno. Out of all the grows I have browsed, there has only been ONE guy who has had an indica pheno of Super Lemon Haze. His plant looked like a real indica with proper fat leaf

Mine aren't super thin sativa leaves but they will be in flower. The plant is still very small.

If you have thin thin leaves in veg then you have a VERY sativa pheno, and should be sure not to lose it :)

Here is the 2 week update. I will try to keep these going ;) and I might as well start including the flowering indica plants (unknown strain), I let one of them in the image today just so you can see it :) nice bud sites. Tops later ;)

Here is the teenager of a SLH.. enjoy :D

Hey Buddy, Nice Plants.
Where did u get ur Beans from? I only ask as i've grown Super Lemon Haze, and this looks nothing like mine.. Tho in saying that there are two different phenotypes in the plant.
Come on over & join the reset of us :) Aussie Grower's Thread
Peace :peace:

Mine looks different to another out of the same pack of seeds I got.. but not much. It looks heaps different because its been topped I guess

The pack came from world of seeds

THE B*TCH has started to flower grr

Hope it stretches to about 5ft ! definitely gonna be a low yielder for me this year

I'm tossing up whether to bend some of it over to create lower branches for next year. Regrowth is the plan, but height will become an issue quickly so was thinking a tiedown

Opinions ? bend 1 over now so its at ground level to regrow / more bending next year ? or just prune it back heavily when I get the buds off ?

Really regretting not having it popped indoor and vegged for a while like the indica dominant plants next to it which had a huge head start. They were actually turning (from sitting outside in the shade) when I planted and had to turn back to veg. Still about 2 months head start :( I wanted monster SLH. Now planning on keeping most of the other stuff instead of hashing it :D

I know they come femmed but did u sex th SLH before transplanting it outside?
Not sure what you mean. I just planted it as a seed in a pot and when I planted the 2 unknown clones I got, it was still small but I put it in too. Didn't protect it and paid the price..

Todays pics.. first 2 are the SLH, gonna be **** all yield but no matter :) I think next year I will do a gigantic tiedown with her and fill the whole area. I'd forgotten how slow weed grows outdoors:wall:

Last 4 pics are the unknown. It has a fuel smell and goes very very solid when finished. Looking forward to trying it outdoor

And yes, the unknown does have strange 3 and 1 fan leaves. This is because it started to bud before it even got planted, then realised it was only December or so and went crazy. They stretched from 6 inches or so, to over 3ft

Hey let me know how long the SLH takes to finish flowering? I plan on starting mine here in a few days. Then vegging it indoor until early may and hopfuly it will finish by October here in California.

Its 10-11 weeks indoor I think, so it should stretch good and finish about that time outdoor there I'd guess !

Here are the new pics, 1 week on from last set..

First 2 of the SLH. Looking fed to the ears now, thrive flower has plenty of N :) good.. She's still sucking leaves yellow so no dramas :) Shes growing nicely looks a few inches taller now too. Should fill out a bit and be quite solid eventually

PLUS 4 pics of the hybrid unknown ones.. I just call it the fuel one. Hopefully it turns out sweet and fuelly or just sweet ! starting to smell nice
