The 1000w light will cover a space of 7' x 7' so if your space is 14x14 you will need two lights . How many plants are you growing and what is your height limit? Are you using the same area to flower in?
7x7 isnt half the size of 14x14, its 1/4, so you would need four lights by that formula.

Good Luck

actually if you have a 14' X 14' area you will need 4 1000w lights at least. thats a monster garden man. I would be worried about the electricity bill bringing the law to youyr door.

... ya ... here's hoping it don't. 'cuz my setup is looking similar. Consider rotating the 4 lights off one at a time during the 18/6... and the first part of the 12/12. gonna be real tempting to use all four during the final few weeks of flowering though.

but hell, in the wintertime i run two 1500w space heaters almost non-stop when the temps get low enough. i'd say go for it, and conserve electricity in other ways if possible.

(EDIT) and make sure you opt for 'euro' air cooled reflectors or you will have a major hard time keeping the room cool. A 15,000 btu can combat maybe one 1000w HPS effectively... but vent that shite outside to outside so you're not making the lights and the a.c. fight it out.

1000 Watt Sodium/Halide Switchable XtraSun I (ValueBrite) Reflector - Grow Light System.

The system is selling for just under 250 bucks and was wondering if anyone has ever used greentrees hydroponics before and if they are reliable. This is the link 1000 Watt Sodium/Halide Switchable XtraSun I (ValueBrite) Reflector - Grow Light System
