First timer, Am I doing good?

Hello! First timer here. I just want to make sure my plants are healthy and I'm doing things right. I have a 250w MH light, and the plants are snow white. It gets to 84F during the day and drops to about 73F at nite. It's on 17/7. They are about... 18 days old.

Nice babies.
I think you transplanted them in those big pots too soon.
A plant that size should only be in 4 inch X 4 inch pot.
Then to a 6X6
Then to that pot that their in now.

What happends is.
When you water, all the water will go down to the bottom.
The tiny roots that your plant has won't have ample enough time to get all the available nutrient.
The soil that's around the roots now, will dry out within a couple of days.
You'd almost be better off to foilar feed if your leave them in those pots.
Just take them outta there and put them in some 16 oz. plastic cups or something similar size. Poke some holes on the bottom for drainage.

Wait until the roots are actually telling you, "It's time to repot". The roots will be growing around the inside of the cup.

Build the roots to a nice and strong ball.
Before repotting to a bigger pot.

Your plant has to learn how to walk before it can run.

+rep for taking ur time w such an instructive response

Ohh.. interesting advice. I actually planted the seeds directly in these pots.
I would keep them in those pots, just water them lil less and more frequently (allways around the stem) instead so that theres no water "running" down to the bottom creating a build up for mold or salt build ups...there are many methods for watering. Increase the amount of water as they grow ofc.
Edit: They look nice but lil small for 18 days. Its kinda risky to transplant them now starting to dig in the pots not knowing how big the roots are + its easy to "break" them...they look fragile?! Try water them less and water "slowly" so that it doesnt run straight through to the bottom.

Wow thanks for all the responses! was totally expecting a slow and lukewarm response haha.

So they're about 3 times smaller than they should be... Repotting into a smaller pot should help then? I've been gardening regular plants for years now, so I'm pretty sure I can repot them without damaging them. The lighting schedule is more a matter of convenience for me, but if it'll help significantly I can adjust it. The light is about 20" above the plants.

I'm glad to hear you've got some gardening experience.
It gets tiresome explaining every little thing in fine detail.
I don't mind helping, but I think if someone wants to get into cannabis growing, they should at least know the basics.

Your light could probably come down a bunch, if it's just a fluorescent.
Don't worry about the light until it's much bigger.
Concentrate on temperature, humidity, and of course your roots.
The humidity should be close to 80%

Hello all! It's been a while and I've got a couple new pics to update with, and also have a question.

A lot of the lower leaves are yellowing and dying off. I'm not sure if it's a fertilizer problem, or if it's because I forgot to water them once or twice (oops). Any guidance here would be most helpful
