yet another light question

I have been reading and reading but it seems everyone uses diff lights!

400w

Includes one High Pressure Sodium (HPS) bulb (400W) and one Metal Halide (MH) bulb (400W)

Would this be good for 7 Auto Fem plants? I plan on keeping the light on 24/7 and im assuming the Metal Halide would be best to use the whole time.

run the light at 18/6 you will get better and bigger growth maybe run mh 1/2 the time and hps the 1/2,but auto flrs will grow under either or so it is up to u!

The only difference between the hydro and the soil trio is the "Growbig" Nutrient. The "tiger bloom" and the "Big bloom" can be used for either.. .

Thanks for all the fast replies and help...it's an 18 gallon container 7 plant holder..how many gallons of water should I fill it with? 1200lph pump

I just watched a video and it looked like they did not use much water I thought water level is supposed to sit a ltitle below cups..

Well, since you do not have to fill it all the way up to the top, I would say around 12 gallons. You just have to fill until it hits the bottom of the netpot... then after your plants root, You can drop the level an inch or two below the pot. Im rootin' for ya..Good luck

Yes that light would work great but it is going to put out some big time heat so you will need an exhaust fan to exhaust the heat out of the room/box
Metal Halide is for vegging and High Pressure Sodium is for flowering
I would start with the MH for a couple weeks and once they start flowering switch to the HPS bulb
I would watch out with that ballast though, it doesn't say anything about it being rf protected
If it isn't rf protected than it will fuck with you and your neighbors cable when it is turned on

I had to ditch the ballast and go back to my old magnetic one...
