also while trimming i decided to try and clone a branch athat im pretty sure is to young but it was big enough to get into my cups im using so we will see what happens
well the mini cutting i tried to clone is actually surviving along with my other 5 so that is pretty exciting. iI also added some peices of a mirror i broke to the inside of my cabinet because i know there cant be anything much more reflective than a mirror. right??? I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that if you have them use them so that is what im doing except every time i move something in my cab i am in fear of cutting myself on the razor sharp edges! lol oh well im not scared. But my cab dose look a little more organized. anyone have suggestions for fan noise reduction im using cpu fans and they just seem put off more noise than i feel comfortable.
Mirrors aren't as reflective as you would think. Much intensity is lost as the light passes through the glass twice. Get some mylar, it will work much better.iI also added some peices of a mirror i broke to the inside of my cabinet because i know there cant be anything much more reflective than a mirror. right???
i am going to try making some sort of gasket just have to find a suitable material to do so and my fans are both in corners of my cab and they are screwed to the cabineta rubber or foam gasket in between the fan and whatever your mounting it to will help, also, if you try to mount your fan on something sturdy(that wont rattle as much) somewhere near a corner or supportting wall of your cab, instead of like in the middle of a shelf of the middle of a flat wall. it helps alot.
also if you hook up PC fans to an AC adapter that has a variable volatge output, (easy to find at the thrift store or a pawn shop) then you can knock em down to like 5-9 volts and it runs alot quiter, just test to see how much you need to keep it cool in the cab
gdluck
i have a 100ft roll of military grade thick ass mylar and it isn't nearly as reflective as my mirrors and those saftey blankets from walmart arent worth the time since they tear like tisue paper im going to take a few pics will have them on in a little bitMirrors aren't as reflective as you would think. flowering starts tonight for anyone who cares 1 more day and i might be taking my journal down knowone seems to be following it so i am going to quit wasting my time documenting it
also, how are you running your pc fans. ive read some tutorials but i get confused, could i hook up old cell phone chargers to pc fans and run em that way?
yes you can but most cellphone chargers dont get the fans to their max output so if you need more power just compare the volts the dc adapter you are using and use the higher voltage for higher fan speeds. i use 12v for my exhaust and everything else is run on phone chargersalso, how are you running your pc fans. ive read some tutorials but i get confused, could i hook up old cell phone chargers to pc fans and run em that way?
i like the info about radio shacks chargers ive been looking for adjustable voltage chargers for a while now!yeah yeah you can use cell phone chargers, just remember the more volts the faster it'll spin, but dont go past 12 -14 volts, becuase it will fry the fans motor sooner
i use a switchable voltage ac adapter,(19.99 at radioshak) and run them between 6 and 9 volts for almost silent running fans.
and hey MIKO, dont get discouraged, i feel the same way sometimes , but you gotta make the journal for yourself, and im subscribed LOL, i like whatching these grows, cause god knows i'll never have a 3000w HPS setup. lol
keep it green!!
+rep if i can
