MS Can you clear up some possible misconceptions for me about reveging?
Fact or myth?
1) When you reveg and start the proccess again does that make that plant a 2 year old plant?
2) If I then clone that reveged plant does this mean I am starting with a 2 yr old plant? (since it doesn't have the same root system I feel like it's myth)
3) Do I then get that same potencey from the cloned plant as I do with that reveged plant?

Hi jjmd,
About 2 years ago I got to know a guy who had just 2 plants, a Hindu Kush and an AK47, both of those plants were then over 5 years old! Both were flowered twice per year and allowed to reveg in between. Although they were in regular plastic 'buckets' the stems were as thick as small tree trunks. Those same 2 plants are STILL going and still producing incredible buds! I was amazed. He knew exactly what he was doing and would confidently trim back the roots after each harvest to encourage new root growth.
Many growers reveg just to keep a mother of a plant that has been proven to be a bit special, others reveg to reflower. if you cut a clone from a reveg mum its still just a new plant BUT it will have all of the characteristics of the mature mother plant, and that means stability of the genetics. I have NEVER seen a reveged plant 'hermie' or a clone taken from one, not ever.
So, I think in terms of the apple tree in my garden, she produces fruit each summer then revegges again during the following spring and produces more fruit the next year, and as shes a year more mature, thicker stems etc she produces increasingly higher yields each year (4 years now). Its the same with a cannabis reveg! Potency of the buds is just as good, some of the best bud I have smoked has come from mature revegged plants

OK, so now I have some bad news
On Saturday I was involved in an accident in my car, we were OK but police were called and an ambulance and I had to give a statement etc as is normal practice. Police offer tells me they will be intouch. As I already have one past offence on record related to 'cultivation' this spooks me and I decide to chop the reveg as she still carries some buds that smell VERY strongly....JUST IN CASE THEY CALL ROUND. Sad, but had to be done.So, I'm down to just 'Delia' now
Plan now is to take cutings from her and continue growing this strain. Shes looking good so far and as soon as I can take 2 good cuts from her I'll flower her.Here she is today, I have just this single little plant now, but I'm confident she will do well for me
Also a shot of some of the buds cut from her mother plant 'Aggie'.... got real taste this one and smells very fruity, I love it. I have enough Mazar bud to last me at least 3 months so I'm in no hurry with her.Sorry for the long post, and so far the police have not called round, just a couple of phone calls

Hi V12, A week on and I know I probably over reacted, but I was concerned about the smell as you can smell this Mazar everywhere! .... its a strong smelling strain, no doubt about that
. I'd say that its the best all round strain I have produced from my little cab, even beats the Kush for me so I'm going to work with it.fditty & SICC, appreciate the comments. We were all OK and accident was not my fault but it kind of shocks you.

Well Delia at least is fine, her roots were growing out the bottom all round so today shes moved onto the biggest pot I had around, 12litres! Shes showing some mutant type growth but throwing new shoots out everywhere. I reckon another week and I'll have my 2 clones then shes into 12/12. I wont top her at all just LST as usual, right through flowering.

V12, I'm constructing a new stealth veg box for the cuttings, I now have a PC case

Tam, i'll check your grow thread to catch up. Hope its going well?I'm happy with 1 plant, shes all I need
but I'm taking 2 cuttings from her, got my eye on both and waiting for the right time.More LST today to establish the shape I want. Gentle pull down on the young shoots, just enough to bend them over. You can see how well shes shooting and how short she is, thats a 2 litre bottle in the shot, the pot is a big 12 litre one, bigger than I usually use.
I reckon she will fill the pot in another week
Plain water all the way PH 6.4, regular light misting of leaves with weak added 'SMC', leaf shine/spider mite control, smells of corriander!(PLease remove the image when quoting, cheers

Yeah it's all going well mate but it seems really dead in the indoor section, I've bumped it 3 times with pics and stuff and no one says a word
I was going to top them all but I'm leaning toward a little bit of LST now. And I'm gonna start a pc grow with cfl's just so Im welcome in here again

sweet post, lots of great info. glad to know i can throw em in dirt if i cant get this bucket thing down. i just read ALL of YOUR posts on this thread, thanks for taking the time to show us all this with pics. i just built a cfl hood that holds 532 watts, might be overkill after seeing your 200 watt setup.

Glad you enjoyed the thread. Seems so long ago now since I took those out of the DWC, but looking back I was surprised how well they went, it gave them a good head start I'd say but the roots loved the soil.I dont think 500 watts of CFL's is overkill, I actually flower with 350watts of CFL's, I just turn some off during veg and leave on 200watts, she's happy with that, growing fast. But when she flowers she'll get the full 350watts to herself!!!

I'm loving this Mazar very much, it puts a big smile on my face and the wife says I'm very mellow this last few weeks Even if my teenage daughters mess the house up I keep on smiling But seriously, (as I can be!).. its very good stuff, you were the first to say how good the mazar was as I recall.
