I've been to this forum allot and has helped me allot but I now see its about time to join the community so please take a look. they are all grown in Miricle grow Continous release soil. I just transplatend them about 4 days ago into 5 gallon buckets, they are about 8 weeks old. Any ideas? please help:leaf::wall: you will notice much smaller ones with no leaves at the bottom and of course the discoloration of the big leaves. Please I have come so far to watch my girls get hurt.

dude, you've got MG nute fry going on, looks like it time released the crap outta your babies... i had the same thing going on during my 1st grow when i was using the MG. i rode it out by never feeding the plants. the plants ended up okay, but looking back now at some of the pics i can see the damage that was going on. you could/should change the soil, but absolutely don't add any more nutes.

first, thx for ur reply.I just spent soo much $$$ on that soil.. another $70... Can i add Lime or run "allot" of water through instead of getting all new soil and having to transplant again? Please tell me theres another option.

You can try to flush but not sure how that will work with the time released nutes? i would def buy new soil.

Rofl if you've used this forum enough you should know better than to use MG anything. Some people swear by it anywys, typically with less-than-impressive results and even more commonly with problems. Your plant obviously isn't getting a complete well balanced nutrition plan. The solution is really simple so get on it.

The soil isn't your problem. Those plants are big enough to handle the nutes in that soil, easily. With tiny seedlings or newly rooted clones, then you might get a touch of overfert. I used that same MG soil for my first 5 grows, and never had a problem, at all. I added a bunch of perlite when I got to my 4th and 5th grow, but the first 3 were with straight MG soil.

I'm guessing that you fed them? With buckets that size, they won't need any fert for quite awhile.(especially the smaller plants) Also, it's easy to overwater when you have small plants in big pots, because they don't use much water, so you have to be careful with that too.

EDIT: I use FF soil now, with a little more peace of mind.

i did not feed them at all... I started with normal MC potting soil that feeds for 3 months, then after 2 months (4 -5 days ago) I tranplanted them using continous release potting soil. They have been like this for a little while now. I have been plucking off the yellow/dead leaves, SHould I pluck them off or just wait and they will fall off all by them selfs? Ideas?

I think I may know whats wrong!!

I am using MC time release soil, so Fert get release when i water, if I over water I over Fert, thus causing Nutrient burn

Yeah, that sounds possible. I doubt that soil is getting dried out enough, so it's basically releasing ferts constantly. Get rid of that paper on top of the soil, it'll help your soil dry out faster. The loss in reflected light, won't be noticeable because the light is very weak at that distance. It'll be more beneficial to remove them.

I use MG soil, with so far great results. your plants look totally saturated, water, nutes both. I would ride it out. careful with the amount of water in those "way to big of buckets" unless you are wanting to grow 7ft trees. no more nutes. those size plants only need water mabee 3 times a week max. be easy and give them some time and Love:peace:

This is a ***UPDATE***. It WAS the problem, too much water, in a 5 gallon pot with 2 -4 feet plants I only really need to water every 3 days. 2 times a DAY was WAAAYYYY too much. burning the shit out of my babies, I slowed down the watering and they are all 3 1/2 - 4 feet, going to flowering in 2 weeks. Gonna be beasts! This is my first time I hope I can identify the males soon enough. Any suggestions on spotting the hairs or balls and when I should start looking after 12/12?

I would raise the light a bit. It looks pretty close. Also, are the plants draining properly? How many holes in the bottom of each plant? It could be one of the things the other people say as well. It's possible overfert from overwatering I'm sure as well as the soil should be able to dry out properly before feeding again. It should be one of the above. Did they transplant pretty easily? Good luck.

Hey Splatter, any chance of posting some pics on how your plants are looking? I'm sure they are on there way to a full recovery =). Robust little buggers!
