How about this, what do you think ?
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/254989-sensi-star-white-russian.html <- Here is my first grow journal, I expect to retire it as soon as my current plants grow up.
I wanted to create this thread to answer questions and give supplemental information.
I won't have any more "sensi star", but I will review "super star". "chocolope" and "white russian".
Comments, suggestions, whatever .. is welcome.

I've got resin on my fingers from harvesting branches. Oh and don't get that stuff in your eyes, I rubbed my eyes with resin on my fingers and it hurt like hell.
That sensi star is close to being finished, but I'm wondering about the other plants I have.
Can I get some feedback about how ready these look ?
I'm not looking for a determination with trichs, just a guess.

1) Sativa A
2) Sativa B
3) White Russian
4) Sensi Star

All but the sensi star have horrible node spacing, but these are not my prime plants; they are just bag seed and a clone mother.

Thanks for the input guys.

Here is what was produced by 5 plants 12/12 from seed. The lower right has 3-day dried, the rest is just cut. The dimensions here are approx. 12"x18".

Sativa A and White Russian both look done to me. The other 2 look like they have another week or so. Of course, I always go by trichs, so it's hard for me to say. o_O I've pulled ladies with lots of white hairs, but the trichs were mostly amber. So those other 2 might be ready as well. Were they all started around the same time?

Yeah all of these were flowered at the same time. It's been about 8 weeks.
Ok, so I cut down the sativa A last night. Vaped one of the fresh buds. It wasn't very high quality. Guess bag seed is like a box of chocolates. :weed:
Oh well .. good learning experience anyway. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will smoke well when dried.

I have this plant.. it doesn't look so good since I forgot to water it for three days. That was a few days ago. Now all the outer leaves are all burned up. The core is still wet and sticky with resin.
What do you think, chop or try to let it get larger ? Will it really grow any more or am I just letting it go too long ?

I say keep it going if you can. I had a plant that was underwatered and overheated last summer. Still grew her out. She didn't look pretty, and I can't say the quality was fantastic, but she did her job and grew some tasty buds that got me high 8) If anything, save her up for some cannabutter. I love eating my THC as well, and I usually will use the lower quality bud for that since you need a large amount of it.

Moved the three plants into the flowering room, moby dick, blue hash, and hash haze.
Moved the clones from the small box to the large box. Placed the SuSt in RW cubes, did the same with the Chocolope and WR. Watered thoroughly and placed the dome on the WR and Chocolope. Hopefully the SuSt will be ok without a dome.
1) SuSt
2) Chocolope
3) WR
4) WR, Choc, and SuSt from left to right.
5) Showing root development on clone of Chocolope

Blah, wrong thread, but interesting nonetheless .. :p

So I will :) I will have to say though, it looks worse today ..

How does the white russian taste in a bowl ? I just tried.. fantastic. prime.

Hmmm, don't know what to say since I've never grown in rockwool. Maybe spray the leaves with some seltzer to give her some instant gratification and extra CO2?

That's great about the WR. Can't wait for mine! I still have a nice long ways to go though. Almost at the end of week 5 from seed o_O So I guess I'll get to try mine in, what, 5 months?

Well, I gave up on the last of the sensi star and just cut it down. I don't think there was any chance of saving that burned one.

Week 5, huh ? Seems like mine was only 14 weeks from seed to finish. It was 12/12 from seed though, so no real time to veg. Those plants were not up to my standards ;) they were too stretchy and not bushy enough. My 6 WR clones flowering now are very bushy, check the pix below :

I need an opinion. This is not a big deal, I was just wondering if I should start a new grow journal, since the title doesn't seem to match any longer. "Sensi Star and White Russian"
Problem is I'm retiring the Sensi Star, and will go perpetual with other strains now, including the WR. Keeping the original thread going would keep all the good stuff I've done so far more accessible.
Opinion ?

My veg box currently has an assortment of large CFLs. They provide both a good spectrum and well-distributed light. However, with all bulbs, they are getting through their life to where the light produced is much less than a new bulb. Bulbs are expensive. The reason I went this way originally was so I could expand slowly. However, with 8 bulbs to maintain now, it can be expensive to replace them all at $20-$30 each. I can't complain about my veg results with these lights, it's been just about perfect every time.

I was in the grow store the other day and was asking about lighting cost, wondering if I would be better off with a 400 MH instead of 450W of CFLs. I know for a fact that it is more lumens per watt, and the blue of the MH would be ideal for 24/0 veg, since that is all I do with the grow box now. Looks like a cheap setup would cost me about $220. Then the installation and heat flow determination. It may take me a week to get a good balance again, but I think the A/C unit can handle up to about 600W in there in addition to summer heat. My only concern then is the risk of putting something that operates at such a high temperature in a small box, I wonder how often a lamp can explode and start a fire .. it must be very rare.

Any thoughts ?
