Mate you live the good life here... So fucking deal with it.. We've apologised for it and we aren't the first nation to kill its natives...

Get over yourself... Past is past...
Yes... we're sorry we've killed and enslaved your people, stolen your children, everything's ok now right? But we'll continue to celebrate this fact every year.
You're just an ignorant racist who obviously has no idea how Australian society operates.

Apart from being a celebration of genocide it's a celebration of nationalism of war of colonialism. Who the fuck would want to identity with that?

You're entitled to your opinions, and it is understandable to feel passionately about the day the first English colonials/convicts landed, however this is not the place to hold that discussion. If you do not wish to partake in the celebration of Australia day then don't, but don't go implying that people are celebrating the genocide of native Australians. Australia day quite clearly is based on celebrating what we as a nation have achieved in the positive, and to be thankful for the ability to achieve these things.

Is there a need to remember the pain brought about by the European settlers? Absolutely. Does this require offensive and aggressive comments? Absolutely not. If you want to have a debate on the ethics of the date or name of Australia day then create a thread and invite people to join. Don't fuck this thread up with it though, or I'll just disagree with you to piss you off, as I'm sure others would too. But by the sounds of it you're more interested in picking a fight than making any progress, or enlightening people with information... So I may as well just block your posts and encourage other to do the same, so at least we can enjoy our thread.

Is it possible to grow indoors, then stick plants outdoors to put into flowering anytime of the year, ie

indoors have your plant veggin 20hrs or 24hrs of light a day, then as soon as they are put outside wouldnt they just go straight into flowering, no matter what time of the year it was?

This is correct. The problem arises if you put them outside after the winter solstice when daylight hours start to extend. The plant will start to flower, but recognize during flowering that the days are getting longer and will revert to vegging again. Happened to me last year.

I just wanted to let that person know what Australia day symbolizes, I'm done here.

Happy growing : )

you're a fuckn knob man, you're the one that decided we're trying to celebrate genocide rather than celebrating AUSTRALIA ... idiot.

Anyway my seedlings are going well. My strongest has started to really pickup once I chucked it in the DWC system. Transplanted from soil expecting to see it droop or show some signs of stress from my washing the roots but nope, it just went 'YIPEE' and started growing 10x faster. Hooray.

yeah, it may represent genocide to you but it didn't represent that to lacey, so stop searching for a fight. in your mind your making a statement about human rights but you've pissed on hers. you know damn well that the average person is celebrating their love for this country and all that is right with it when they celebrate australia day. you've got 364 days a year to bitch and moan about it, so take the one day a year to shut the fuck up.

peace lol

hey all, brisbane here into second grow of bag seed, to be honest i had no idea that there were so many
different/good looking strains around, i've always just planted what i've pulled out of bags.. But definitely
will be looking into online seed purchases, do you actually receive what you're supposed to?

I found this the other day and not bad for a rough guide on light costs per day..
Cost of power per day = Cost of power per kilowatt* x Total kilowatts** x Daily duration.

e.g. If the cost of power is $0.10 per kw and there are 2 x 600w lamps (1.2kw) alight for 12 hours per day, the daily cost of electricity is $1.44 (i.e. $0.10 x 1.2kw x 12hrs)

*Refer to your last power bill.
**1,000 watt = 1 kilowatt (kw)

I hope this helps

this is what buttery now has to say, in pm of course - as well as a hypocrite we have a coward lol

"Lol so very, very naive. Celebration of Australian values in a multi-cultural society...honestly you have no idea what you're talking about.
And don't even pretend to know what the work peace means you idiot."

for someone who is apparently about peace, ya sure do like chasing fights and trying to make others feel bad. (i assume you meant word not work)

thankfully i stopped hating the world by the time i finished uni, so when you catch up buttery i'll listen to what you have to say - in the meantime you're a hate filled cause head and i've put you on the ignore list because yer literally not worth any more of my time, which i'm pretty free with usually lol

good luck with your journey, it'll be hard when you find out you're wrong about almost everything, but i'm sure you'll have people around to help ya.

Man that guy needs to chill a bit, though being aboriginal myself i do agree with alot of what he has to say. But as whoever it was said, there is another 364 days in the year to fight these issues.

I still like to celebrate Australia day in the traditinal sense coz although the genocide & everything that came with it was worse than words can describe, it is part of my culture (not being 100% koori) and if it wasnt for those who fought for the country we could very well be here eatin shark-fin soup & speakin japanese.

lol@Knickers - that's a good idea. maybe a bit of paulo coelho

BB - i know there are huge problems with the treatment of indigenous people - human rights violations have been rampant in this place, but they have been rampant in most places over time and i dont think celebrating the things you love about being australian shows any disrespect to those issues.

on a lighter note, chucked another 400w HPS on the girls today to fatten them buds up, WHOO lol

Why are there so many knobs on this website. I only joined a while ago and have made a few posts. I belong to a few other website forums, mainly for fishinng, and the crap that goes on here is pretty sad. I started a journal for some help, nothing yet, and i got abused for posting something in another section (CFL) as i thought people may only look at that part. I wouldnt take much notice of people who dis Aus day as its a great day for all. I thought mull was supposed to chill people out not make them bigger wankers. Was chatting with my mrs about site and i think i will give it a few days and see what comes of it all. This thread is a good one though.
