I am almost about to harvest so I think I will keep the rest of the mildew in check with your lemon and water solution. I don't want my herbs to smell like serinade, lol, it smells like when your finger rips through the toilet paper when your wiping your ass and then you sniff your finger for validation that it actually ripped through lol.

no you want to make it more alkaline, mildew like acidic environment. spray the plant with ph 8+ water.

So Im joining the club. I had this pop up after I had a baby sitter close off my room and turn off my fan. Luckily it was the veg room and I had a CFL on it. So I have a detailed procedure of what I tried on my thread. It sucks. Im about 8 days into flower. Flowers going to be massive and I just want to control this. going to try the sulfer burner for a bit. Just for back up and to help steralize the room.
This PM sucks.
Temps 75-82
Humidity 40-50
botanicare DWC Bloom
1000 PPM
Ph 5.75
Water temp 70

i'm sorry to disagree....but any big ph change, up or down will disturb the cell wall of the fugus, plus i'm talking from experience.
I tried your lemon juice last night cycle and it worked pretty good. Plus I dont have that shit smell from the Serinade. I will keep spraying them until harvest next week and I will post up more info here and in my Journal. Thanks again GlassBlower, hey do you really blow glass? Do you take large custom orders?

PM is slowly getting worst tried the baking soda and lemon juice method. went to ace hardware store and bought greencure fungicide, heard good things about this stuff plus you can use it till harvest time.

I found that you have to rub the lemon juice or baking soda on the parts that are really effected in order to get it to not come back. I also had to do this several times. I like the idea and smell of lemon juice more than serinade shit water smell. Good luck bro and tell me how that stuff works for you.

I've been using a product call Fungus Pharm, seems to be working great. Of course I completely changed my environment once I noticed PM popping up.

Same boat friends. at day 49 on a few strains that finish in 55. ONE of the little bastards (from a dispensary I usually don't frequent) was carrying the powdery mildew. I tossed it 1 week into flower because it kept coming back after multiple neem applications. All seemed fine until a few days ago. The blue widow and diablo OG have tiny traces of it on certain leaves. The P91 and PPP seem more resilient to it. I think I'm gonna try a light neem solution on a Q-tip and PRAY I can make it 6 more days!

the last time i had a problem with PM i also was at the end of my cycle when i noticed it i use 2 1/2 tsp molasses to a gal but i would highly recomend getting more air circ and just an fyi if there is a lil PM it will move from one plant to another and i would spray all the plants in the room not just the ones with it!!!! (purespray works great if your in the early stages of flowering and veg)

Mold and Powdery Mildew are two different things bro. I am currently fighting this too, after I brought home an infected clone from my collective.:wall: Now it is in both my veg/mother tent and my flower tent. From what I have learned there is nothing to stop it once it is in your plants system. Its like Herpes for plants. If the conditions are right, it pops up again. I have read that all of the solutions like Zero, Serinade are just bandaids and unless you control the humidity and temps, Mildew will come back.
Not quite true when using Serenade...Serenade is actually a bacteria which eats/ feeds on powdery mildew, botryitus, mold, fungus etc...In fact, one method of serenade application is to water the plant w/ serenade solution (concentrate w/ water, of course) when young, in which case the bacteria (which is harmless to humans, by the way) becomes systemic as powdery mildew can and will absolutely wipe out the powdery mildew if it tries to surface again. A little prevention in early stages of plant growth does wonders...I saw all this demonstrated (watering plants w/ serenade solution to make it systemic) in a online video presented by the manufacturer. This will also protect your plants from a number of variety's of root fungus; besides powdery mildew, mosaic fungus & botryitus, etc.

Awesome shit (serenade). Well worth the $20 for a bottle of concentrate. Yah, it smells like shit when you spray it, but that goes away in about a week. I have not noticed any difference in taste of smoke or plant either (unlike Neem based products.)

Have seen people use non-fat (skim) milk. 9 parts water to 1 part milk. spray allover plants top and bottom. The PH helps kill PM, milk has natural fungicides and immune boosters that the plant can use. I have not tried it on cannabis but have had great success on tomatoes and cucumbers.
spray on every plant. using the nonfat milk means there are no (or little) fats to go rancid. should be safe up to harvest.

this is quite accurate information, beyond that... advanced nutrients voodoo juice and general hydroponics subculture-b both have the same bacillus strains as serenade, + a multitude of others... Pays to be informed on products out there!

these 2 products are Great for roots! wouldnt grow without bacillus cultures ever again!
