i don't think i could do it, i'd certainly like to, but i don't think i would. a million is not that much. i think i'd rahter smoke what i smoke, massively enjoying it while i do (and you can't put a price on happiness 
) and if i'm to get a million pounds, it's because i'm smart, i'll put my brains to good use and earn it for myself. and then have a million, and smoke!

well it would of course be a mental battle. our shortsighted nature yells at us that we can go out and buy lots of "stuff" but from experience of having too much disposable income, buying things only works to such an extent, i still need to goto the pub for a drink, or roll up a fatty here and there.

3 bedroom house, 70s era in a nice neighborhood, 240,000
2x Nice car, 60,000
R1 10,000
Entertainment in the house 30,000(Yeah
)=300,000
100,000 set aside for kids collage
100,000 in savings
150,000 in a Resturant. Witch i would manage/cook at everyday. Italian food
.=650,000
150,000 taxes
Leaves me 200,000 in he bank, Witch i could choose to invest in my business or or just sit on.
For those of you that said you would quit what would you spend it on.
And for those of you that would quit, Say you had 1,000,000 dollars,U.S american currency, and you couldnt spend it on trees whats would you do with it.

200,000 for a 3 bedroom in a nice area? just where the feck do you live? small 1 bedroom appartment, which we turned into a 2 bedroom, cost £250,000.
oh, and if i did have the mil to spend not on trees, it would be gone within a few months aston martin and it's fuel and insurance is gonna take a stupid chunk out on it's own.
there is always the argument that you can jsut invest the mil and live on a slightly more comfortable salary by using it cleverly, but oly reason i'd genuinely want a million would be to blow a million
and at the price of toking, fuck that!

Yeah everything on that list seems possible except for the 3 bedroom.It probably depends alot where your located though,In the nicer suburbs around here you could get a 2 bedroom for 150 if your lucky.It would still be a shitty rowhome though and who would settle for that if you had a mil to throw at it.Id go atleast into the 300's for the house.Hmmm....You got me thinkin about how id spend it.

My grandmas house is a 5 bedroom 3.5 bath 6 years ago it was up too almost 700,000. Dude acorss the street from hers was trying to do a quick sell with the SAME model and it took him 5 months to sell it for 300k. Im in north California. I would be looking for a small cumfy home for a family of 4. Might take me a few months to find but i think it would be possable.

we had almost unlimited offers when we put our last 5 bedroom family house up on the market. we startet off with the £1million pricetag but took it off almost imediately and stuck it back on a bit later at a higher price. this was during the house price slump that the recession caused as well. so yeah, 200,00 (if it's dolloars, :O!) is gonna get you a scabby house, unless you're in canada where i hear it's all rather fantastically cheap

u forgettin bout a whole bunch of realty taxes, state and fed taxes.. idk what good school u can pay for with 100,000 especially with rising tuition.150 wont give u a nice resturant either.. maybe the retail space but not the equipment and startup cost and employee payments also property taxes on the cars/motorcyle as well as sales fee's and what not, not to mention the electric bill for that 30000 entertainment system and normal living expenses.. maybe if we had no gov't your plan could work.Hmmm....You got me thinkin about how id spend it.
