Okay, I recently bought a double hose a/c unit...why does my room keep caveing in when the actual a/c kicks on?:wall:
do you have both tubes outside the tent? or do you have one in and one out? sounds like to me you may have the intake inside and the output on the outside causing it to create a negative pressure in your room. just a gues from the bit of info you posted.

Yes,both tube outside. See, heres the negative with the roller or portable a/c's: They use the indoor air to push across the condensor coil, that means that the air your trying to keep cool in your grow room is being ducted outside. In order for the a/c to work properly it must run like that. Window a/c's dont run like that. Unless your room has strong walls, it will always do that. Strengthen ur walls.

yea, i aggree, sounds like he's growing in a tent or a has weak walls. but if the walls were that weak youd think it wouldnt be sealed enough to cause a collapse. so i'm guessing he has a tent

are you growing in a tent trich?

.nope, I built a room inside of a room made for using natural air. I have now bumped up to using co2 .I made the room out of panda film, or black/white poly. So, this is normal I get. Thankx guys! +rep

That A/C unit is venting inside air across heat exchanger to the outside.

It is sucking out more air than it can pull in from the cabinet. In our room we had to cut a passive vent to the main house so the A/C could pull enough air.

Basically, you need a larger intake!

Hmmm... larger intake, huh? Damn, you might be onto something there. I have about a 10 foot hose attached to both vents now that I think about it, that does seem to be too long to be pulling air verses pushing it. Awesome, I think I'll completely remove the intake hose...hope it works! Thanks +rep
