First Harvest: 70.3 grams dry from my Single Plant (pics)

So this is my first grow and I was lucky enough to be able to harvest my single plant. I named her Kate and her strain was Big Buddha - Cheese and is from The Attitude Seedbank. She was grown in Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil and was fed FF nutes. She was flowered under 150 watt HPS with four 42 watt cfls surrounding her for side lighting.

At the outset of my growing experience (Sept09), I was hoping for an ounce(28g) per plant I grow. After harvesting and drying, the buds weighed out to an astounding 70.3 grams! This makes me super super satisfied. I cut all of the significant stems off and weighed only solid bud as well so stem weight is not a factor. The buds have begun the curing process and have been placed into glass container with an air tight rubber seal. The container is in my dresser droor and will remain there (except for bi-daily moisture ventings) for 3-5 weeks. I plan to lose 10-15 grams to the curing process which'll leave me at around 60 grams.

What do you boys think!?

i can read ...i can grow too, and i always lose 70-80% weight from cut to cure.not calling you out dude, but if you got 73 grams from a single plant grown under a 150 w hps and 4 lil cfl's and this is truley your first grow then you have found your calling! i grow a bud bigger than a 24 oz. bush can and only weighed 9 g's cured. just dont look like that big of a yeild , later tater................

I got my friend into growing. Got him a 150w light in a closet with one of my seedsman ww clones. He pulled 108g dry after curing on his first grow in not very ideal conditions.

Lol that's more of what I was expecting. 9 grams isn't very much, I was thinking you may of had the fluffiest bud ever produced, didn't mean for it to come off as shit talking. :bigjoint:

its all good mini trees, i didnt mean nothing either. i like to hear that people are getting good size yeilds on first grows, theres plenty of info here for the newbies. hell i started growing back in the early 80's, before the internetty. i killed a bunch plants learning to grow by trial and error, all i had was a underground copy of indoor m-j hort. paid a pretty penny for that, later

sorry you guys don't believe me but i'm not lying

it could be that they aren't dried enough. After all this hatin going on about my harvest, I went back and gave a couple of buds a squish and they are still sorta gooey. They had seven full days in a well ventilated carboard box with a mini fan inside on 24/7 but idk. The temps in the room were around 70 and the humiditiy was back and forth between 30-35. I'll give them a day in the jar and if it looks really moist in there, I will take them out and leave them out for a day or two.

Thanks?
