Aero Cloner Question?

So, I bought a aero cloner knockoff from ebay and just got it. It came with the little grey foam inserts that sit in the 1 3/4" holes.

My question is... How do you use these inserts? Do I put the clone through the inserts and into rockwool or does the clone simply just hang down and get sprayed by water constantly?

The directions simply say to dip in cloning gel and put the clone into the inserts, hanging down 1-2", but I am confused how I get it into my rockwool and when to do it...

Any thoughts or info appreciated.

You don't use rockwool in it, cuzzo.

Just let your roots hang down and get sprayed.

yeah get rid of the rockwool....

let the stem hang down and the roots with follow within a couple weeks..

Also in my experience try to make sure there is a node hanging down just above the cut, I find it roots faster at a node. As oppose to no node, just stem.

And I mean a node with the leaves and branches stripped...

Ok, thanks for the replies. I understand how to use the cloner now, but when I take them out... I will then put in mesh pot and surround with hydroton rocks? That's it? No rockwool needed at all?
