What's up all. I am designing a stealth box for autos and have a couple of questions. I have never grown indoors before.

I am planning a 3 foot wide box by about 19 inches deep. It will be 30 in. high.

Questions:

1. What type of spacing do auto seeds require?

2. i am planning on using t5's for light, but was wondering if led panels on the side walls would help plump the nuggets up. Also, since they are auto seeds, do I just use the low heat lights after a couple of weeks, the whole time or what is suggested?

3. I plan on groing using a hydro system. What series of nutes should I use.

Any other suggestions & tips would be appreciated.

Thanks for any replies. Great thread.

My babies are dying, y'all. I transplanted them yesterday and I really don't think they're gonna make it, so I dropped two more seeds in water this AM. The bad thing is that I don't know what I did wrong, so don't know how to keep from doing it again. One baby's leaves turned yellow, then dried up. The other's leaves drooped down, got wilty, and turned dark green. These babies weren't watered except when their soil got really dry. When they were tiny, I merely misted them every day or so.

They started out under Aerogarden CFLs, then at about 9 days, I put them in my PC grow case under 4 27w CFLs. That's when they started looking funky. So I snatched them outta there and put them back under the Aerogarden lights, but they didn't really perk back up. So I transplanted them yesterday, but the root system was tiny and they appear to have stopped growing ... no new leaves in a few days.

I have them in FF Happy Frog soil ... I guess I'll try to find some nute-free germination/seedling soil today. Going on the hunt for FF Light Warrior or something similar. The water they got was from my tap, but we have a whole-house purification system, so they got fed purified water. My last girl, an LR2, did just fine ... except she did have that yellowing/rusty leaf thing, just not quite so early.

Here are the latest pics ... do any of you have a clue what the hell happened to my babies? I don't like double abortions! :(

I think your problem is the soil. I've seen this happen a lot, especially with autos. They are very nute sensitive.

For the first three weeks, start seedlings in soil with no nutes. Then transplant to your Fox Farm.

I've experimented with autoflowers and soil a lot recently, and I can say without hesitation that nutrient-rich soil will stunt the growth of seedlings.

Try something like Pro Mix with no nutes for the seedlings. You should have no problem.

I'm growing Great White Sharks under 1,000 watts. These things are the least nute-sensitive autos I have ever witnessed.

They are a month old today. The picture is from five days ago.

So I have my baby in a PC grow case, but just got a thermometer/hygrometer and it sez the RH is in the 20s. I live in CO, so it's dry here. Guessing that's way too low, so how would I get moisture into a PC case? I'm not sure a humidifier would get in there. Or could I just leave a side off the case so they'd be exposed to the moisture? Can I open up one side of that case or do they have to stay enclosed?

I have 4 27W CFLs in it ... and it holds two dwarf plants.

PS - thanx for the nutes confirmation. Though I have two seeds germinating in that soil and one freshly sprouted, so it's too late for them, definitely the next time will be nekkid soil! :)

Wow, what pretty babies! I have an AK x Auto Hindu Kush growing, but I damn near lost it. It's 16 days old, but it had stopped growing for probably 5 days or so, so it's a bit behind the power curve. Got some catchin' up to do!

Try a couple things. Set a small bowl of cup of water in there and see if it helps. Also, you could wet a sponge or rag and keep it in there. If need be, do both.

I used to keep a rag under my wire shelf in my mini fridge. Every other watering I would just leave them in the fridge and give just enough water for drainage and let the rag catch the rest. It kept the humidity up probably 10% more, and was always dry in a day or so.

Good luck!!

KB you ROCK!!! Just put a cup of water in there. Don't know where it will fit when I have two plants in there, but I'll figure SOMETHING out! :) Maybe several rags. ;)

Tundra® Auto Flowering & Feminized marijuana seeds from the Dutch Passion seed company.

We chose Passion #1 for it’s outstanding “outdoor” qualities: healty (pestresistant), strong and early flowering, soft smoke and superb taste. Spicy, lemon and grapefruit.Small bushy plants. Mild Up-High.

Harvest time outdoor: depending on sowing time.
Yield: Outdoor 25 to 30 grams per plant

60 Day Wonder – Autoflowering Feminized from DNA Genetics.
Our commercial growers have kept asking us to produce a feminized strain that will yield and finish FAST. Well that time has come, we’re proud to introduce the 60 Day Wonder! It took us a bit longer to get this one released but it was definitely worth the wait.
It’s Williams Wonder! A very special commercial indica that produces fat and resinous flowers and finishes early. It is then crossed to a ruderalis strain, back crossed a couple of times, and now we are ready to release one of the fastest commercially viable strains out on the market. 60 Day Wonder will finish in any light cycle, including 24 hours of light, 60 days from SEED. The flowers on this plant look more like the Williams Wonder and it keeps the medicinal values of her as well, but thanks to the ruderalis, we don’t have to wait long for this magical medicine! Great for the beginner grower and perfect for commercial growers who want to crop every 60 days in- or outside from seeds. A great strain for the windowsill or for the stealthy gardener.
Flowering time: 60 days from seeds
Yield: 28-40g's a plant

Genetics: 90% Indica : 10% Sativa
Specifics: Williams Wonder x Ruderalis
Qty: 6 Auto Flowering Feminized Marijuana Seeds
Seed Company: DNA Genetics Recommended for: Indoor or outdoor marijuana growing
