Nope... Plants prefer LOUDER MORE AGGRESSIVE music... on Mythbusters, they actually had a controlled pea pod area, they had an area where they talked nicely to the pea pods, and an area where they just cussed it the pea pods out and yelled at them... both with music and speech involved had bigger pea pods, more pea pods, and the most plant density.... but, the one they screamed at was the best producing plant... TALK SHIT TO YOUR PLANTS!!! TELL EM HOW MUCH THEY SUCK, AND THEY WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING!. or do like i do and just yell "GROOOOOOWWWWW" in a very loud, deep bass tone at the budsites.... and breathe on em too, they like that! very stinky breathe! lol

I played my B52 non stop Led Zeppelin and under a 250wtt light they were massive!!!

I havent done it since mind.

Ive read up on this and they have done multiple expirements and the plants actually grew away from the bassy loud rap and hard rock...

but plants grew better and actually grew towards classical music :peace::peace::peace:

Guys it was in cannabis culture or hightimes I forget but they did a test with Marijuana plants not PEAS.

Peas also like different nutes and have different light requirements as well.

and the marijuana definitely liked the softer mellower music. :peace:

Im not going to go against a nicely controlled expirement.

They had pictures and showed the plants growing towards the speakers slightly with classical and they were healthier looking than the plants that listened to hard rock and rap.

the rock and rap plants actually grew away from the speaker slightly, and like I said did NOT look as healthy. :blsmoke:

Im not making this up email the damn magazine editors and tell them they are wrong.

I always would bring a boombox to my outdoor grows mostly to keep me from going crazy but my girls love to shake it too! We mostly prefered Creedence and of course some Dead! :leaf::hump::leaf:

That's probably because there is so much energy in the bass. The reverberations in the air probably caused damage to the plant. Try holding onto a random orbit sander for a few minutes. It drives me nuts...

I think if it was loud ut would make the plants grow away from it because sound is vibrations in the air, which causes wind. if you put your hand in front of a speaker and play it fairly loude you should be able to feal the air moving all around, same goes for an acustic bass, or guitar, and the sound holes.

we could tell you... but who knows whos right? none of us have any real documented controled experiments. but it seems that most people in this thread agree that rock and rap work bwest

if thats the case explain why thew grew toward it with the classical and also looked a little better?

They did do a documented controlled experiment, didnt you read what I wrote....

they proved that gentler but equally loud music was better :blsmoke:


if I have to I will find the article somehow if I can.

I believe it was the same volume as the loud fast rock.

they had three test rooms...

one with classical

one rock

and one without music

The classical won...

this was all done with clones from the same mother from the same area on the mother.

I read the article in the magazine I forget how long ago.

im not trying to be tricky im just really drunk.

The breed was B-52 and the music was Led Zeppelin. Constant, from seedling to chop

Man I couldn't listen to the B-52's they sucked ass.
