If I was to grow a lowyrder or any strain of marijuana in a dixie cup, than would it grow smaller than if I was to grow it in a big pot?

Yes, as a rule of thumb, for every gallon of growing medium you have you will get 1 foot of plant.

Moral of the story, the larger the pot the larger the plant.
