i have got a 85L tub from walmart aprox. 3ft long 16 in wide 12in deep.

16 gallons fills it to the net cups or close to it. can i just mix my nutes accordingly and leave it and just add each weeks nutes as the plants use it or do i drain it every week and start over nutes wise

also can i do a dwc with just this tub airstones and air pump

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but speaking from personal experience, no you don't have to drain it and add new nutes.

Mix your nutes and water. After you've added 32 gallon of straight water during topping offs, start back adding nutes with your top off water up to 16 gallons. 3-4 weeks before harvest and just use water.

Tub+nutes+airstone is all you need.

I would change the water every 7-10 days and jujst add ph adjujsted water between changes. I recommend this method for new growers, once you grow a few crops youll be able to make changes to your routine, but for starters I would play it safe and change it out 7-10 days, maybe longer when the plant is young.

Get a good air pump, it is one of the most important if not the most important part of dwc. I like the ECO plujs pumps, they come in sizes from one outlet upto 8 oujtlets. I ujse one eco 2 outlet per 5 gallon bucket., so with your tujb size, maybe go with a 4 outlet pushing 4 airstones.

as they get bigger and the roots get longer do i lower the water level?

No , keep water level upto net pots when roots are long.

ive got the eco with 4 outs 4 12in airstones 2 of them do not work ,so i got 2 from walmart
