Alright so I smoked some kill last night and decided to chop a small branch off of my plants.

I grabbed:

1/2 Pint Mason Jar
Leatherman/ any knife
Vermiculite
Rooting hormone from Lowes
Water at room temperature
Dechlorinater...for fish tanks?

I shaved a little bit of the outter stem off the bottom 1.5" of my plant, Got it wet, dipped into rooting hormone, shook off excess,

Got my mason jar filled with vermiculite with about 6-8OZ of dechlorinated well water in which the vermiculite absorbed well, I screwed the lid onto the mason jar poked a few small holes in the top, and then stuck the stem into the mixture .... the lid holds the plant nicely.

Let it set over night in darkness and now this morning Im going to start giving it one 24 watt 3500 Lumens 5600K light 24/7

Is 24/7 ok:?:

Leaves are looking pretty droopy, after I cut it, i set around for about 2 hours and then was like oh shit and remembered about it... But from my info do you guys think it will be good to go?? Oh yeah I have a Ziplock bag posted up over it.

Yeah, and why the mason jar? You could of used a red party cup, that way the light will be kept out from the root area. I understand you can see root growth with a clear jar and all, but just make sure to cover it up somehow so it doesn't get algae growth. And clones don't need that much light at all. In fact clones prefer less light when it's rooting.

Well now that Im not blazed, I think I need to get it out of the vermiculite, because being in the glass jar it wont drain what so ever, and I really dont think its a great starter substance, I would have used a regular cup but I didnt know how I was going to support the stem!! See with the lid to the mason jar, I just poke a small hole and the hole supports the stem... New ideas please??? preferably one that I dont have to buy anything haha...I have perlite vermiculte and sand???

do a vermiculite / perlite mixture and place it in a cup...u might have to bury the stem a little deeper so that it can support itself..try a sort of mini hempy bucket setup where u poke a hole 2 inches from the bottom of the cup..water until u have a runoff coming from the hole...and keep the clone misted...just a suggestion

Supporting the stem?!?!?! They'll be droopy for a while, but once they root, they'll perk up. Don't worry about it. Just put it in a party cup or something with drainage. Check my sig for easy cloning.
