This is my first harvest dealing with P.M. (Powdery Mildew), I'll give a tiny bit of background info for the hell of it even though my real question is concerning regenerating plants with PM.
The ladies are purple kush, they've had PM for about 4 weeks now, unfortunately I sprayed them with Safer Garden Fungicide two weeks prior to harvest ... I know, I know my flowers are probably gonna taste like you're smoking a BT with matches.
My local hydro owner told me to do this (he never did me wrong in the past) and I repetitively said "It's okay on flowers???" ... him: "how long into flowering".... me: "2weeks away, I just wanna chop them down!" ... and he reassured me that spraying them with Safer Garden Fungicide was a better option than chopping the precious ladies.
So did I really fuck my ladies up or what? Gonna taste like match heads? Either way I'll probably just end up making a lot of hash and making edibles from the hash.
Also how harmful is it to smoke plants that were infected with PM? Will it make me sick or will it just be harsh and taste funny?
To the real question at hand ... If I regenerated my ladies will the PM still be there next harvest?
I'm asking this because of a thread I read here on rollitup .... I'll source it ....

"The problem with P.M. is, once you can see it, it's already IN your plants. It takes two weeks to become visible, and it is systemic, meaning the fibers go INTO the leaf tissue and actually start circulating through the plant. Only one thing kills P.M."

I really really wanted to try regeneration out for the first time, but if it is true the P.M. is inside the plant than seems like there is really no cure for it, but only prevention and treatment.
So I'm guessing even if I use neem oil, sulfur products, zero tolerance (and whatever else there is to help plants), with more fans and a better dehumidifier... I'll still run a huge risk of P.M. regenerating these ladies.
Also any tips for drying my current harvest would be greatly appreciated ... I read some shit like dipping the buds into hydrogen peroxide ... but holy shit balls my buds probably already taste like sulfur from spraying them a couple weeks back, I don't want to make matters worse.
Thanks in advance for you time, love, and compassion.
