HELP weird growth on top of bud picture attached

Hi can you please take a look at these photos. There is weird growth on the tip of the bud and I dont know what it is. Any feedback or insight would be soo appreciated! This is an Island Sweet Skunk going into the 8th week of flowering. Its on a couple of others that were closest to the light (1K HPS).

Its hard to make out in these pics. I would try to take it out from under your HPS lamp. Like maybe in the sun if possible. Is it right on tip of the bud?

dude, I'm pretty sure that's just your bud, you just let it get too close to the light and it cooked the pistels, raise you light a bit

I dont see what the problem is, it looks like you just cut off some good bud. Some buds will form like that depending on your strain. That little ball you focused in on was likely a female pod ready to burst. just find some good herb elsewhere and let it be till its done cause what you just clipped aint gonna get you far. maybe a head change.

Are those black dots in the last pic dirt? Was the growth similar to a really dense spiderweb or silk cocoon? I would check the underside of your leaves for bugs.

You gotta put your camera on macro mode if you wanna take good close ups.

Just to clarify. I meant to take it out from under the lamp and in the sun to take your picture.haha

It makes the picture orange /yellow under the lamp.

p.s. oh yeah.... and use the macro setting if it has one. hint:alot of times the macro setting has a little flower icon
