I would only use LED lights as supplemental lights, or maybe maybe maybe for a clone/veg chamber.

smoken I thought the same thing until I looked around

And after growing some nice sticky nuggs of SSH under a LED I am a believer but they are not for everyone

It depends on your setup and what you can afford, look around here and find some journals that you like and can pull off and go from there

There is a lot of trial and error in this hobby so do your homework!

LoL.... My little plants yielded me 1.5oz a plant. Same as my buddy who gave me the clones. He's got running 2 1000w hps. By his own admitance mine had more crystal LoL....So...My lights cost me $150.00 each. $200.00 an 0z x 4 + a $25.00 increase in my electric cost...LoL...Whos the winner?

Check ebay.

I won bid on an LED UFO 90 watt Tri band (red, blue, white) for $137 including shipping. Three year guarantee.

Don't go with ones from China that you see on eBay.

I see that just in the last few days QUAD band led lights are showing up. Not sure if the added 'orange' color is necessary or even helps.

Axjnkee has a total documented grow from start to finish with LEDs. He has made me a believer. The only thing that is hard to swallow is the inital investment in the lights themselves, but with the lifespan and the electrcity used, its way worth it.

I kick myself because i JUST upgraded my veg and and flower lights, spending about as much as the 45 watt version would cost.

Next year (when its time to replace the bulbs) ill start to buy the LED panels.
