well, I'm still a bit confused on the differences between a fem plant that grows a banana pollen sack compared to a fem plant that develops seeds. a plant has to be polinated in order to produce seeds right? so I figure at least one grew a banana and pollinated a couple fems with the herm pollen rendering the seeds to be hermed fems if I ever grew them out.

but yea man, I feel ya on the tough front. can't wait to have a snagless grow indoor or outdoor.. lol if this next outdoor isnt looking perfect, I'm just not even going to try

Don't get down B, I bombed plenty of grows back in the day, just keep moving on and improving.

thanks man. I figure I'm just getting all this out of the way and learning from it all now so hopefully I won't hit these snags down the road.

I was looking closer at all the plants when I was watering last night and it's really only 2 of the SSH that got pollinated kinda bad so most of the GDP should be seedless. both strains are still developing pretty nicely considering they seeded. the GDP is gonna be real light green and hopefully start turning a little purple in the next few weeks, super frosty tho :weed:

anyone know how many weeks gdp is supposed to go for? I know that SSH goes for 8-10 weeks so another 2 or 3 weeks for the SSH after this week.

thats rough. id assume they hermied from stress if they were clones. interesting i had issues with my first clones and drellas sayin he had males before too... wats coming to this world? lol

but anyways it shouldnt be able to pollinate yet if the seeds havent matured. but idk how along u are in flower and im not really knowledgable with seeds and males as i am witht the sesimilla crops. id pull the two suspected males or howeever many and keep pushing nad caring for the others and hope for the best expect the worst. ull get thru it bro! im still learning shit everyday and most by mistakes myself lol

thanks for all the reassurance fellas. easy to get down when you're dealing with this bullshit, but drella's right-- there always is a tomorrow.

sorry for not updating last week tho. I just wanted to give a 2 week break before I posted updated pics next to show the growth difference. so today is week 7 of 12/12 and I'll post pictures a little later when lights click back on bongsmilie

that's what I was thinking. last feeding would be tomorrow or the next day. would you flush the whole time with the Hi Brix tho TLD? or every other watering?

but thanks fellas :-) I don't think I'll be anywhere near my .5 gpw goal but I've learned a lot from this grow and I think that's what is most important at this point

every other watering. Hi Brix will basically supplement additional nutrition to the plant besides the remainder of whats available in the media. It will allow for N especially to be broken down and taken up during the waterings in between. You should see yellowing in your fan leaves as you use it, and visible swells in between uses. In a 14 day flush period I would be using it twice, with a single very light feeding in between of readily available soluble Macro nutes (I use Bio Bizz Bloom).

So if you feed in the next couple days (and a good strong feeding at that).... and then follow up 4-6 days later with a decent flush (2-3x volume amount water as media, when media is DRY) to initiate the start of flush, then use Hi Brix (3-5 days later), then a watering with Bio Bizz Bloom (3-5 days later) (20%, or excessive, runoff), then Hi Brix again (3-5 days later), then a Full Last flush of 3-5 times volume of water to media (3-5 days later), and let dry before harvesting. That would put them right about at 9 1/2-10 wks right? One of the affects of SM is prolonged flowering...... GDP is typically a 9 wk strain, and SSH a 10 week strain.....

Every one does their own thing..... ^^^^ that is what my plants typically go through....... accept I give them even one more plain watering at the end (if I feel they need it, or could benefit from it ;) ), and I don't let the pots dry out completely before harvest. I go by weight. Picking up the pot at the last watering I can feel the weight..... after a couple of days, maybe the day before the plant could be watered again, I harvest. I noticed the buds dry weights are slightly lower when I wait till the pots are completely dry to harvest, as compared to harvesting the day or so before when there is still some moisture in the pot. I always harvest at lights on as well.......

Your running a 1000W right?

And this is your first indoor run right?

And with the SM issues you had right?

Supposing they do well during your flush..... I don't see any reason why you shouldn't pull a lb or so, maybe more maybe less, out of it.....

I never flush my meduim with tons of water, just plain, regular amounts of water the last 2 weeks. Some times I use final flush but I don't notice the difference.

yep... I have flushed as you described.... just regular watering last week, or couple weeks. I have tried numerous methods..... I guess I just like to stroke it a lot :p....... what you describes works perfectly fine too :).....

Either way..... Im pretty sure he will end up with some buds to harvest ;)

hahaha that banter brightened my day a bit :bigjoint:

but yea this is my 1st indoor, I'm running a 600w(put down the bong and check the title TLD! :-P) and still dealing with spider mites here and there...:finger:

you mentioned the prolonged flowering tho due to the mites, could this add some extra weight if I let them go for say 11 or 12 weeks?

and what strength do you think i should hit them with for this last feeding of the bio bloom?

Whoops..... ahhh well then.......

Still think you will get up to about 400 somethin grams out o there :) My guess range from low to high would be (12 X 28=336) or (12 X 36=432)

My last Bio Bizz feeding is 1/2 strength (approximately 3 ml)

You wouldn't see any Extra weight. But you will see the plant partially make up for the spider mite damage by giving them that lil extra time ;).

10 weeks solid maybe?

I harvested my spider mite plants early (just so I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore), and the mites are disappearing rather quickly from the flower room :D. I have more plants to replace them. The quality doesn't rebound like the quantity. I grow purely for quality, while trying to supply enough quantity to keep the patients happy. It all just depends on what you want.

No shit man, I was just thinking the same thing earlier. lol He really could articulate well. I loved smokin and reading his journal, which was always captivating. He knows his shit too. I am hoping he decides to come back. ;-) Oh and those colas look good brotherman. Have you cut them yet?
