1st Grow ever!!! (Master Kush and Blue Mystic)

DAY 18

Here are some recent pictures on how everyhting is going, I havent watered them since transplanting them, the soil is still moist underneth the top. I am giving them nutriens now when i DO water.

1st n 2nd- Blue Mystic
3rd n 4th- Master Kush

Thanks, I mixed all my nutrients today in a gallon jug ready to be used. I watered earlier today, using just water and my "root roids", the last time I watered them was when i transplanted them on Wednesday.
The next time I water i will be applying the nutrient mixed water containing 1/2 teaspoon Earth Juice "Grow", 1 teaspoon Earth Juice "Catalyst", 1 teaspoon CaMg+ (Calcium and Magnesium) 1 teaspoon of Earth Juice Meta K (Potassium) and 1 teaspoon of Root Roids.
I also have ALL LIGHTS on, 4 24W 6500K Blubs directly on the plants, 8 2ft Sun Blaze T5 Stips lining the room along with 1 4ft Sun Blaze T5 strip, and my T5 light fixture with 4 4ft bulbs, all 6500K and I have 1 24W 3000K bulb in the mixture too lol.
The Temps get to around 85-90 degrees F when I have the doors closed. So for better air circulation I repositioned the fans and I open each of the 2 doors on both ends, and now the temp. stays around 75-85 degrees F.
I think I am going to add 2 more fans into the room, maybe from above the T5 Light system. (Everywhere I look to buy a fan they only have heaters!!!) And when the plants get fatter and bigger i think i am going to add 2-4 more fixtures with Y-splitters giving me 4-8 more 24W bulbs.

Only give nutes every other watering. When you put nutes in the water, the nutes stay in the soil and can build up from whatever the plants don't absorb. So the next time you water, if the nutes are still in the soil, and you add MORE nutes, it will eventually be overkill for your plants. You need at least one fresh watering in between feedings. :bigjoint: Trust me, I fried my first crop by doing that.

Thanks, i forgot to mention that I am only using that mixture of nutrients every 3rd watering. I water with regular water, then the 2nd water is with the Root Roids which says to use every feeding and then the 3rd watering is the nutrient mixed water.
 
Looking good so far!

Just planted my Blue Mystic, White Widow and AK-48 on New Year's day so I'm going to be watching this thread with great interest.

Good luck! I have been wanting to do a t5 8 bulb grow all the way to flower myself so I cant wait to see your yeild. I hope its fat. How much heat does that put off?

Thanks for following, I think maybe I spoke to soon about the Blue Mystic growing faster than the kush because me and my girlfriend were looking at the plants today and the Kush is getting bigger by the day, not that the blue mystic isnt but now the Kush has a lot more leaves than the Blue Mystic. I will post some pictures by tomorrow night or thrusday morning.

Me too, i mean i wouldnt mind using an HPS its just that I hurd they get hot, and its alot of electricity. The way my closet is i think i could get away with putin an HPS I just have to do some adjustments to the closet like taking out the shelf above the main closet.
As far as the heat, with everysingle light on in the closet with the doors closed it gets kind of hot (around 90 degrees F) but mind you, i dont have any fans taking in or out any air, just fans inside for ciculation. But when i leave both of the doors open slightly the temp stays good at around 75-80 degrees F.
If you are going to grow with just the T5, heat shouldnt be to much of a problem, but i got a lot of T5 lights inside of my closet.
I hope my yeild is atleast 2oz each plant, but I will just have to wait and see, im no where near that point yet lol.
 
just subscibed ...have been following your progress tho wondering how t5'z grow rate as compared to a 400wattHPS will be ? Have been growing in similar light (flouresent) until cloans gain strong rooting (soil) will post pics later.

Thanks, HPS will probably be better, we will just have to wait and see, i got a lot of lights inside that closet lol. Should be adding more when they get bigger.
 
DAY 20

 So things seem to be turning up now, both plants are growing quite fast, the Master Kush is looking GREAT. The Blue Mystic is also looking nice but now he Kush seems to be growing quicker than the Blue Mystic. Will have pics for everybody later tonight or early morning. Thanks you to everybody for checking out my grow thus far.
I also watered with nutrients last Wednesday and I don't seem to see any signs of stress or burning from them, so thats a good thing.
