I dont have children but my two puppies ended up getting into my mother/clone room when I didnt close the door completely, ended up eating 4 plants that were 4 weeks old or so, and 40 + clones about a week old..... I was cleaning up green blobs of puke for the next few hours or so...little bastards haha

Ain't that the truth. One Thanksgiving myself, my wife and 2 kids went to my parents for dinner. My oldest(8 or 9 at the time) say out loud, daddy is growing trees in the basement. I damn near shit myself. Everyone blew it off, but I was ready for the questions as to what I was up to. To this day I still don't know how she knew I was growing. I'm pretty carfull. I lock my grow room up. Try my best to hide oders. I don't know how she seen my plants, but she must off somehow. Kids do find away I guess.

Yeah, i'd say that if you have a doorway in to your grow room, you should have a lock on it. I live with my brother, and we almost never have company, and we still have a deadbolt on the grow room, and it is always locked when we're not in there...

How about raising your kids to respect it instead of trying to hide it from them? My best friend has two adolescents and they've never said anything about the plants he grows. He's legal but still. He gave his littlest his own non-marijuana plants so he'd have his own to play with.

I agree with this but there is a teeny tiny flaw witht that thinking. When your kids go to school and start telling friends and teachers "Hey my daddy is growing marijuana in the basement. He says there is nothing wrong with it and not to tell anybody. Since there is nothing wrong with it I figured I'd tell everybody about it."

See how that shit can bite you in the ass? Now when they get a little bit older then yeah, I say tell 'em. Be careful 'cause kids figure out how to blackmail at an early age too. Some things are best kept a secret.
